Familiarizing Y ourself with the Pen 5 Scanning Scanning means to roll the Pen o ver printed text. W hen scanning, the o ptical head of the Pen scans the surface and creates a bitmap copy of the scanned text. In all appl ications the image is processed resulting in the actual letters by us in g OCR (Optical Character Recognition).

This is the angle y ou should preserve whe never scanning, even without the trai ner. 3. The text should be positioned at the center of the opening of the trainer.

The set up procedure on the CD-ROM will i nstall the USB driver, install the WizCom Info Sca n Desktop application and establish the Pen-PC com munications.
