Introduction 12 Contr o lling y o ur smart devi ce with the remote contr ol When the projector pr ojects the content from your MHL compatible smart device, you can use the remote contr ol to control your smart device. T o enter the MHL mode, press and hold AUTO f or 3 seconds.
Introduc tion 13 Replacing the remote contr ol batteries 1. Open the batter y cover as illustrated. 2. Remove any existing batteries (if necess ar y) and install two AAA batteries obser ving the batter y polarities as indicated in the base of t he battery compartment.

Positioning your project or 15 Obtaining a pr eferr ed pr ojected image size The distance from the pr ojector lens to the screen, the zoom setting, and the video format each factors in the p rojected image size.
Positioning your project or 16 MW632ST The screen aspect ratio is 16:10 and the pr oj ected picture is in a 16 :10 aspect ratio For example, if you are using an 120-inch scr een, the recommended pr ojection distance is 2063 mm and the vertical offset is 40 mm.
Connection 17 Connection When connecting a sig nal sour ce to the projector , be sure to: 1. T urn all equipment off bef ore making any connections. 2.
Connection 18 • Many notebooks do not turn on their external vide o ports when connected to a projector . Usually a ke y combo like FN + F3 or CR T/LCD key turns the extern al display on/off. Locate a function k ey labeled CR T/ LCD or a function key with a monitor symbol on th e notebook.
Connection 19 Connecting smar t devices The projector can pr oject the content directly fr om a MHL compatible smar t device. Using a HDMI to Micro USB cable or a HDMI to Micr o USB adaptor , you can connect y our smart devices to the pr o jector and then enjo y your content on the big scr een.
Operat ion 20 Operation Star ting up the pr ojector 1. Plug the power cord into the pr ojector and into a powe r outlet. T urn on the power outlet switch (where fitted). Check that the PO WER in dicator light on t he projector lights orange after power has been applied.
Operation 21 Adjusting the pr ojected image Adjusting the pr ojection angle The projector is equipp ed with 1 quick-release adjuster foot and 1 rear adjuster f o ot. These adjusters change the ima ge height and projection angle. T o adjust the projector: 1.
Operat ion 22 Corr ecting k eystone K eystoning ref ers to the situation w here the projected imag e is noticeabl y wider at either the top or bottom. It occurs when the pr o j ector is not perpendicular to the screen.
Operation 23 Using the menus The projector is equipp ed with On-Scr een Displa y (OSD) menus for making various adjustment s and settings. The OSD screenshots below are f or refe rence on l y , and may differ fr om the actual design. Below is the ov erview of the OSD menu.
Operat ion 24 Securing the pr ojector Using a security cable lock The projector has to be installed in a safe pl ace to prev ent theft. Otherwise , purchase a lock, such as the K e nsington lock, to secur e the pr ojector . Y ou can locate a K ensington lock slot on the rear side of the pr ojector .
Operation 25 If you f orget the passw ord If the passw ord function is activated, y ou will be ask e d to enter the six-digit password e ver y time you turn on the projector . If you enter the wrong passw ord, the passw ord error message as pictur ed to the right displa ys lasting for 3 seconds, and the INPUT PA S S W O R D message follows.
Operat ion 26 Disabling the passw ord function T o disable passw ord protection, go back to the SYSTEM SETUP: Advanced > Security Settings > Change Security Settings menu after opening the OSD menu system . Press MODE/ENTER. The messag e “INPUT P ASSW ORD” appears.
Operation 27 Changing Color Space In the unlik ely ev ent that you connect the pr ojecto r to a D VD play er via the projector’ s HDMI input and the pr ojected picture displa ys wrong colors, please change the color space to YUV . To d o t h i s : 1.
Operat ion 28 Selecting the aspect ratio The “aspect ratio” is the ratio of the imag e width to the image height. Most ana log TV and some computers are in 4:3 ratio , and digi tal TV and D VDs are usually in 16:9 ratio .
Operation 29 About the aspect ratio • In the pictures below , the black portions are inac tive ar eas and the white por tions are activ e areas. • OSD menus can be displayed on those unused black areas. 1. Auto : Scales an image pr oportionally to fit the projector's nativ e resolution in its horizontal or vertical width.
Operat ion 30 Optimizing the image Using W all Color In the situation wher e you ar e pr ojecting on to a colored surface such as a painted w all which ma y not be white, the W all Color feature can help cor rect the pr ojected picture’ s colors to pre vent possible color difference betw een the sour ce and pr ojected pictures.

Operation 33 Please ref er to the illustration to the right for how the colors relate to each other . For example, if you select Red and set its range at 0, only pur e red in the projected picture will be selected. Incr easing its range will include red close to yellow and r ed close to magenta.

Operation 35 Hiding the image In order to dra w the audience's full attention to the pr esenter , you can use ECO BLANK on the projector or r emote control to hide the screen image. When this function is activated with an audio input connected, the audio can still be heard.

Maintenance 48 Maintenance Car e of the projector Y our projector needs little maintenance. The on ly thing y ou need to do on a r egular basis is to keep th e lens and case clean. Nev er remove an y parts of the projector except the lamp . Contact your dealer if other parts need replacing.
Maintenance 49 Lamp information Getting to know the lamp hour When the projector is in operation, the durati on (in hours) of lamp usage is automatically calculated by the built-in timer . T otal (equivalent) lamp hour = 2.22 x (hours used in No rmal mode) + 1.
Maintenance 50 Timing of r eplacing the lamp When the Lamp indicat or lights up r ed or a message appears suggesting i t is time to replace the lamp , please install a new lamp or consult your dealer . An old lamp may cause a malfunction in the pr ojector and in some instances the lamp ma y explode.
Maintenance 51 Replacing the lamp • T o reduce the ri sk of electrical shock, alwa ys turn the projector off and disconnect the po wer cord before changing the l amp. • T o reduce the risk of sev e re burns, allow the pr ojector to cool for at least 45 minutes before r eplacing the lamp.
Maintenance 52 4. Disconnect the lamp connector from the projector as illustrated. 5. Loosen the screw that secur es the lamp. 6. Lift the handle so that it stands up. 7. Use the handle to slowl y pull the lamp out of the pr ojector . • Pulling it too quickly ma y cause the lamp to br eak and scatter brok en glass in the pr o jector .
