This thermostat is intended for use with a low v oltage NEC Class II system. Do not use this thermostat with a line voltage system. If in doubt about whether y our wiring is millivolt, line, or low v oltage, ha ve it inspected b y a qualified heating and air conditioning contractor or electrician.
2 Get to know y our thermostat Bef ore y ou beg in using your thermostat, y ou sho uld be f amil iar with i ts f eatures and with the displ ay and the l ocation a nd operation of the thermostat buttons and s witches. The Thermostat Buttons and Switches 1 Raises temperature setting.
3 Using y our thermostat Home, Sleep and A way T emperature Pre-Sets Y ou can set y our (Home , Sleep , Aw ay) temperatures for use when you get home, go to sleep , or leav e home. Then, just press the button y ou want and go . F av orite T emperatures are set at the f actory as indicated in the f ollowing table .
4 Remove the Old Thermostat 1. T urn off power to the heating and cooling system. 2. Remov e the front cov er of the old ther mostat, this usually pulls off . 3. Loosen the screws that hold the thermostat to the wall. 4. Identify each wire attached to the old thermostat.
