2 Setting Up Y our SnapNT ype Keyboard Installing the SnapNT ype Keyboard Software Before installing the SnapNT ype software, please make sure that: 1) Y ou have saved all documents. 2) Microsoft ® ActiveSync ® synchr onization software is installed and active on your PC.
3 Setting Up Y our SnapNT ype Keyboard (continued) the SnapNT ype software on your iP AQ. Note: If the “Confirm File Replace” window displays on your iP AQ, select “Y es to All”. 7) The “SnapNT ype Configuration” screen will pop up on your iP AQ.
4 Setting Up Y our SnapNT ype Keyboard (continued) Detaching the SnapNT ype Keyboard from Y our iP AQ Pocket PC 1) Hold your iP AQ face down in the palm of one hand. 2) Press the r elease button at the back of the SnapNT ype keyboard to r elease the connector lock.
5 Setting Up Y our SnapNT ype Keyboard (continued) Removing the SnapNT ype Keyboard Software Follow these instructions if you want to remove the SnapNT ype software fr om your iP AQ: 1) Quit all programs and perform a soft reset. 2) T ap “Start”, then select “Settings”.
6 Setting Up Y our SnapNT ype Keyboard (continued) Reinstalling or Upgrading the SnapNT ype Software T o reinstall or upgrade the SnapNT ype software, you must first remove the existing softwar e by following the steps outlined on the previous page. Then follow the steps outlined in the “Software Installation” section (page 2).
7 Using Y our SnapNT ype Keyboard After installing and enabling the SnapNT ype driver , the software runs automatically , and you can use the keyboard at any time.
8 Using Y our SnapNT ype Keyboard (continued) T yping Numbers and Symbols T o type one number or symbol: Press once. The next key you press will r egister as the number or symbol printed in red on top of the key . There ar e two ways to type a block of numbers or symbols: 1) Press and hold .
9 Using Y our SnapNT ype Keyboard (continued) Application Keys Because the keyboard covers the application buttons on your iP AQ, these buttons are repr oduced on the SnapNT ype keyboard.
10 Using Y our SnapNT ype Keyboard (continued) The FaceBoard Button Pressing the “FaceBoar d” button (see Fig. 4) will pop up a window containing various less frequently used symbols and punctuation marks. There ar e also popular emoticons or ”smiley” patterns for your e-mails.

The following screen will pop up (see Fig. 5) and you can choose the desired symbol by touching the on-screen button. This alternative FaceBoard will work better with some applications (such as Inbox).
12 Configuring the SnapNT ype Software T o access the SnapNT ype application (see Fig. 6), tap “Start”, and then “SnapNT ype” on your iP AQ. Enable —this will allow the SnapNT ype to accept key input. Disable —this will turn off the SnapNT ype.
13 Configuring the SnapNT ype Software (continued) Sound —you can enable or disable “Key Click”. For this function to work properly , you need to first turn on your “Hardwar e buttons” sound in your iP AQ: tap “Start”, then“Settings”.
