4 Locati on Require ments IMPORT ANT : Observe all gover ning cod es and ordinances. Check the locat ion where the air condi tioner will be installed. Proper in stallat ion is yo ur responsi bilit y . Make sure you have everyt hing necess ary for correct installa tion.
5 INSTALLATION INSTR UCTIONS Unpack the Air Conditioner Remove pa ckaging mat erials ■ Remove and properly dis pose of packagin g materials. Remove tape and glue residue fr om surfaces before turning on the air con ditioner . Rub a small amount of li quid dish soap over th e adhesive with your fingers.
6 6. Extend ri ght-hand curtain out ward so yo u may insert the first screw through the middl e hole of th e curtain. Usin g a #8 x ³⁄₈ in. p an-head scr ew , sc rew cu rtain to midd le hole in a ir conditioner cabi net. NOTE : Th is screw is required to correctly att ach curta in (top to bottom) to t he air condit ioner cabinet .
7 T op view 3. Check that a ir conditioner cab inet is tilted to th e outside so that wa ter wi ll run to the ou tside. If cabi net is n ot proper ly positioned , reposition or shim cabi net to provide the proper tilt. 4. Us e a ³⁄₃₂ in. dril l bit t o dril l sta rter ho les t hrough th e hole s in the top ch annel int o the window sash.
8 AIR CONDITIONER USE Operating your ai r conditioner properly help s you to obta in the best possibl e resu lts. This section expl ains proper air conditione r operation. IMPORT ANT : ■ If you tur n off the air condition er , wait at least 3 min utes before turnin g it back on.
9 Timer delay T o set the Ti mer for a 1- to 24 -hour delay until the air conditioner turns off (th e air conditioner must be On): 1. Press TIMER. Ind icator light will flash. 2. Press the p lus or m inus bu tton to ad just the dela y time (1 to 24 hour s).
10 T o select the fan speed (in Cool or Pow er Saver mode on ly): Press TURBO, HIGH or LOW . T o raise the te mperature: Press the up arrow butt on to raise th e temperature 1 º until it reaches 86 ° F (30 º C). T o lower the temperature: Press the down arrow but ton to lower the te mperature 1 º until it reaches 64 ° F( 1 8 º C).

22 Para poner en marcha el acondic ionador de aire con el contr ol remot o NOT A: El control remoto se alimenta con dos pilas AA (no inclu idas) . Camb ie las pilas des pu é s de 6 meses de uso o cuando el control remoto comienza a perder fuerza. Para encender o ap agar el acond icionador de aire: Presione POWER ON/OFF (Encen dido/apaga do).
23 Para programar el te mporizador para un retardo de 1 a 24 hor as hasta que el acon dicionad or de aire se a pague (el acondicion ador de air e tiene q ue estar Encendido): 1. Oprima TI MER. La lu z del indica dor en el pa nel de co ntrol d el acondiciona dor de aire se encender á intermitent emente .
