5 Star ting y our air conditioner Operating y our air conditioner properly helps you to obtain the best possible results . This section e xplains proper air conditioner operation. IMPORT ANT : • If you turn the air conditioner off, w ait at least 3 minutes bef ore turning it back on.
The louvers in the top of the front panel allo w you to control the direction of the cooled air . Use the tabs to direct the air right or left (some models). Rotate the whole car tr idge to direct air up , down or straight ahead. Along with using PO WER SA VER (some models), there are many things you can do to help sa ve energy .

10 1. Unplug air conditioner or disconnect power . 2. Remov e the air filter and clean it separately . (See “Cleaning the air filter , ” above). 3. Open control panel door (some models). 4. Pull control knobs off . 5. Remov e two screws from bottom of the front panel.

15 Air conditioner cycles on and of f too muc h, or does not cool/heat r oom in cooling/heating mode. Check if ... F AN CONTROL is set to PO WER SA VER (some models). The air conditioner is not properly sized f or your room. The filter is dir ty or obstructed by debris.
