SOFTW ARE INS T ALLA TION Removing K eyboar d from y our P ocket PC 1 . Close all active wind ows on your P ocket PC. 2. Disable the scr een rotati on functi on by uncheckin g the bo x ne xt to option “Screen Rotati on” on the “Wir eless PDA K eyboard” Configur ation pag e .
SOFTW ARE INS T ALLA TION 5. Close all active applicati ons . Place your P alm onto your HotSyn c cradle , an d perform a H otSync oper ation. Th e Wireless PDA K eyboard so ftware will th en be installed in your P alm. 6. After the H otSync oper ation, you m ay detach your P alm from th e cradle .
USING THE KEYBOARD Setting Up the Ke yboard 1. Detach the k eyboard fr om the stan d cover . 2. Hold th e keyboar d and pr ess the release button to open it. Th en place it on a flat surface . 3. Install th e battery . a) Open the battery compartm ent located on top of th e keyboar d.
USING THE KEYBOARD Aligning the Ke yboard The k eyboard autom atically d etects IR signals fr om the PD A. Press th e two “Shift” keys on th e keyboar d and look f or a symbol to appear on the tool bar o f the PDA.
TYPING WITH THE KEYBOARD Typing Lo wer case Letters T o en ter lowercase letters with your Wir eless PDA Keyboar d, simply type th em as you would on a stand ard computer k eyboard . Typing Upper case Letters T o capitalize on e letter: Press “Shift” while typin g the letter .
CONFIGURING THE KEYBOARD SOFTW ARE T o access th e keyboar d application, tap “Start” an d then “Wir eless PDA K eyboard” on your handh eld devi ce . Enable – This will allow the Wir eless PDA K eyboard d river to accept key input. Disable – This will turn off th e driver .
CONFIGURING THE KEYBOARD SOFTW ARE Screen Rotation Some PD As have th e infrar ed port on the sid e , so you must r otate your screen to place your PDA on th e stand si deways . After enabling th e screen-r otation fun ction, you can choose to r otate the scr een 0º, 90º, 180º, or 270º.
