6 Caution: Before connecting the power supply , make sure that the power switch on the reciever is switched OFF . Note:For additional protection, it is recommended that you plug in the power supply to a surge protector/Power strip.
7 Setting Up with Stage Monitors/P .A. System If you will be using the UHF-388 with stage monitors and/or a P .A. system, tr y the following: Getting Star ted P A Speakers Facing Away From Rear of Microphone Monitor Directly in Front of Microphone Place the stage monitor directly in front of the microphone.
8 Getting Connected The UHF-388 gives you two options for outputting vocals 1. Each channel independently using the BALANCED A and B XLR outputs 2. Both channels together using the MIXED ¼” output .
9 Controls and Functions POWER switch - T urns the Power on and of f. ANTENNA connectors - Connect the antennas here. CHARGING indicators - Indicate the charge level of the microphones. Each LED lights when charging and flashes when charged. VOLUME controls - Controls the volume for each mic channel.
10 POWER ON OFF UHF-3700 GRILL - Protects the microphone car tridge and helps reduce “breathy” and wind noise pick-up. POWER LED - Indicates if the mic is on or off. The light is on if the mic’ s power is on. The light will be off when the mic is turned of f or when the battery is dead.
11 Microphone Position The UHF-388 is ideal for close-up vocals and can be held in the hand or mounted on a mic stand. Keep in mind that microphone technique is largely a matter of personal taste, and there is no one “correct” microphone position.
