4 17 Adjusting the Player’s Settings Y our play er is pr eset t o work with most setups out of the bo x, but if y ou would lik e to adjust an y of the play er’ s settings, y ou can use the on-scr een men u t o do so.
4 18 Adjusting the Aspect Ratio If video display ed fr om the play er appears dist orted or otherwise incorr ect, you ma y need to adjust the aspect r atio of the play er t o match that of y our TV . (Devices dif f er; see your TV’ s user manual t o det ermine its aspect r atio .
4 19 ADJUSTING THE AUDIO SETTINGS The settings in the Audio Men u configur e the play er’ s digital audio outputs (HDMI or Optical/SPDIF). T o access the A udio Menu: 1 . T urn on the player and y our TV . Use the Arr ow butt ons on the r emot e t o highlight Settings and pr ess OK .
4 20 Adjusting the Digit al A udio Output This setting changes the type of digit al audio dat a the play er outputs o ver HDMI and Optical/SPDIF . Depending on your setup , y ou may need t o try sever al settings. 1 . Fr om the A udio menu, use the Up/Do wn Arro w butt ons on the r emot e t o highlight Digit al A udio Output and pr ess OK .

4 22 Changing the A udio Language This setting changes the spok en language on a played disc. Not all languages ar e av ailable on all discs. Most discs have only one or two audio languages a vailable .

4 24 Activ ating or Deactiv ating the Par ent al Contr ols Use this setting t o turn the par ent al contr ols on or of f and restrict playback of discs encoded with a r ating lev el equal t o or higher than the lev el y ou choose. Y ou may be pr ompt ed t o enter y our P ar ent al Code.

4 26 Activ ating or Deactiv ating Disc A ut oplay When this option is activ at ed, the player will aut omatically play an inser t ed disc. When this option is deactiv at ed, you will need t o select Disc to play a disc. A ut oplay does not mean that the play er will st ar t a movie .
