Make sure tha t the (+) and (-) symbols on the batteries match the (+) and (-) symbols inside the batt er y compartment.

4 15 VBR121 Adjusting the Aspect Ratio If video displayed from the player appears distorted or otherwise incorr ect, you may need to adjust the aspect ratio of the player to match that of your TV . (Devices differ; see your TV’ s user manual to determine its aspect ratio.
16 4 VBR121 Adjusting the Audio Settings The settings in the Audio Menu congure the player’ s digital audio outputs (HDMI, Coaxial, or Optical/SPDIF). T o access the Audio Menu: 1. T ur n on the player and your TV . Use the Arrow buttons on the r emote to highlight Settings and press OK .
4 17 VBR121 Adjusting the Digital Audio Output This setting changes the type of digital audio data the player outputs over HDMI, Optical/SPDIF , or Coaxial ports. Depending on your setup, you may need to try several settings. 1. From the Audio menu, use the Up/ Down Arrow buttons on the r emote to highlight Digital Output and press OK .
18 4 VBR121 Changing the Stereo Downmix Setting This setting is only used when your Blu-ray Player is connected to an audio receiver with the L and R analog ster eo outputs. When connected with these outputs, all audio is reduced to 2 channels. T o change the Stereo Downmix Setting: 1.
4 19 VBR121 Changing the Disc’ s Menu Language Using this setting, you can change the language that is displayed when a disc’ s main menu is displayed. Not all languages are available on all discs. Most discs have only one menu language available.
20 4 VBR121 Changing the BD-Live Settings The BD-Live menu can be used to change BD-Live network access, or to allocate memory for the service. T o enjoy BD Live, a USB thumb drive with at least 1GB of free memory must be connected to the player’ s USB port.
4 21 VBR121 Viewing BD-Live Storage Settings When a USB thumb drive is connected to the USB port, the player can use its memory for BD-Live storage. T o view the available BD-Live storage: 1. From the BD-Live menu, use the Up/ Down Arrow buttons on the r emote to highlight BD-Live Storage and press OK .
22 4 VBR121 Setting the Parental Country Because countries have their own rating systems, if you are going to use the Parental Contr ols, you should set the parental country to match the country in which you live. Some discs do not support multiple country-based rating systems.
4 23 VBR121 Setting the Parental Restriction Level Use this setting to restrict the playback of discs encoded with a rating level equal to or higher than the level you choose. The Parental Contr ols must be set to On for this setting to work. Y ou may be prompted to enter your Par ental Code.
24 4 VBR121 Changing the System Settings The System menu allows you to customize autoplay , power , screen saver , and network settings. From this menu, you can also r eset the player to its factory defaults. T o access the System menu: 1. T ur n on the player and your TV .
4 25 VBR121 Setting Auto Power Down The player has a power -saving feature that turns it off after a set period of inactivity . T o customize the period before auto power down: 1. From the settings menu, use the Up/ Down Arrow buttons on the r emote to highlight Auto Power Down and press OK .
