1 4 Inst alling the Base 1 Align the 8 tabs on the base with the 8 slots on the bottom of the TV. Slots on TV 2 Press down on one side of the base and gently slide forward until you feel it click into place. Press here while sliding forward. 3 Press down on the other side of the base and gently slide forward until you feel it click into place.

3 14 CONNECTING A PC CONNECTING A PC RGB Cable (For Video) 3.5mm Cable (For A udio) Y our TV can be used to display output fr om a personal computer . T o use your TV as a PC display: 1 . Connect an RGB cable (not included) t o y our PC and the RGB por t on the back of the TV .
4 15 Completing the First-Time Setup The first time y ou turn on the TV , the Setup App will guide you thr ough each of the st eps necessar y to get y our TV ready f or use . Bef or e y ou begin the first-time setup: • Y our TV should be installed and the po wer cor d should be connect ed t o an electrical outlet.

5 17 Using the On-Screen Menu Y our TV featur es an easy-t o-use on-scr een menu. T o open the on-scr een menu, press the MENU butt on on the r emot e. Y ou can also open the on-scr een menu b y pr essing the VIA butt on and selecting HDTV Settings fr om the VIA Dock, then pr essing OK .
5 18 CHANGING THE INPUT SOURCE Ext ernal devices such as D VD players , Blu-Ray Play ers, and video game consoles can be connect ed t o your TV . T o use one of these devices with y our TV , you m ust first change the input sour ce in the on-scr een men u.
5 19 SETTING UP CLOSED CAPTIONING Y our TV can display closed captions for pr ogr ams that include them. Closed captions display a tr anscription of a pr ogr am’ s dialogue. If the pr ogr am you ar e vie wing is not being br oadcast with closed captions, the TV will not display them.
5 20 ACTIVATING THE SLEEP TIMER When activ at ed, the TV’ s sleep timer will turn the TV of f aft er a set period of time. T o use the sleep timer: 1 . Pr ess the MENU butt on on the r emot e. 5 25 Adjusting Bass and T reble Le vels The bass and tr eble le v els for y our TV’ s built-in speak ers can be adjust ed t o your liking . T o adjust the bass and treble le v els, you m ust disable SRS T ruSurroundHD and c hange the Equalizer Settings to Of f .
5 26 Enabling or Disabling the Built-In Speak ers Using this menu option, you can turn the built-in speak ers on or of f . This is oft en used when the TV is connected t o a home audio syst em. T o enable or disable the built-in speak ers: 1 . Pr ess the MENU/OK button on the r emot e.

5 32 Adjusting the Time for Da ylight Savings This setting will aut omatically adjust the time f or zones which r ecognize daylight savings time . T o enable or disable the daylight savings adjustment: 1 . Pr ess the MENU butt on on the r emot e. The on-scr een menu is display ed.
5 33 ADJUSTING THE TV SETTINGS FOR USE WITH A PC Y our TV can be used to display output fr om a home computer using the RGB por t. These settings are only available when viewing content fr om the RGB port. T o adjust the PC settings: 1 . Pr ess the MENU butt on on the r emot e.
5 34 2 . Highlight the channel y ou want t o lock or unloc k and pr ess OK . 3 . When a channel is lock ed , the Lo c k icon appears lock ed . The channel is not accessible unless the par ental passcode is ent er ed. 4 . When a channel is unlock ed , the Lo c k icon appears unlock ed .
5 35 Adjusting the CEC Settings The CEC function on y our TV enables you t o control HDMI-connect ed devices with the included r emote without an y additional pr ogr amming. Not all HDMI devices support CEC. See your de vice’ s user manual f or det ails .
