4. Servicing : Do not att empt to service the Prin cipal Grand subwoofer beyond that described in the operating i nstructi ons. Al l other services should be referr ed to qualifi ed service personnel.
For this reason it is not recomme nded to bui ld the Princip al Grand i nto any cabin etry that does not contain special cooli ng capabil i ties. 10. Heat : Positi on the Princi pal Grand away fro m heat sources such as radi ators, heaters, stoves or other appli ances ( incl udi ng amp li fiers) that produce heat.

7 – Volu me Control: Thi s ad justs the overall volume level of the Princip al Grand relat ive t o the main loudspeakers regard-less of whether the High -Level or the Line-Level i nputs are used. 8 – Phase Swit ch: Thi s critical swit ch al l ows for the timi ng of the subwoofer to be in phase (i n ti me) with the main loudspeakers.
Setup procedure for the Principal Grand subwoofer 1. In order to prevent scratches and fin ger-pri nts we have sup pli ed with each Prin cipal Grand a pair of our special cl oth gloves. We highl y recommend using these throughout the entire setup process.
6. After the Princip al Grand subwoofer i s ful ly b roken in, it may be necessary for you to ma ke some fi nal , minor adjustmen ts to the crossover and overall gai n settings. Start with th e controls in the foll owing posi tions: i. Crossove r Control: middl e positi on ii.
c. Crossover: After adjustin g th e Phase- Control, i t wi ll be n ecessary to determine th e best crossover ran ge for your i n-room perfor mance. Tu rn this control to the lowest setti ng avai lab le. It may be necessary to agai n adjust th e overall volume.
