Slide the battery cov er in the direct ion of the arrow an d remove it. 2. Insert the included batteries. Ensure that the polarities correct ly match the an d markings inside the battery compartment.

Whethe r you are installing the DVie w temporarily or per m anently, you should ta ke the followin g into account to ensure that it performs optimally.
Installation 16 Vidikron VL-26/VL-32 Owner’s Operating Manual 3.4 Connections to the DView Proceed as follow s to connect th e DView to your video sources, externa l controlle r(s) – if present – and AC power. When connecting your equipment: • Turn off all equipment befo re making any connections.
Installation Vidikron VL-26/VL-32 Owner’s Operating Manual 17 DVI Connections: The DView has a DVI input for conn ec ting a DVD player, DTV decoder, personal compute r or any other devic e with a DVI or HDMI output. Co nnect such devices as shown in Figure 3-2 .
Installation 18 Vidikron VL-26/VL-32 Owner’s Operating Manual RGB-HD Connections: The DView has an RGB input for co nnecting a perso nal computer (see Figure 3-3 ) or DTV decoder with an RGB output. (This applicat ion may require a DB15-to-RGBHV br eakout cable.

Connec t the MONITOR OUT audio and video jacks to the audio and video inputs of the VCR or other equipment as shown in Figure 3-6 .

The DView has been designed to incorpo rate se tup and calibr ation stan dards established by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF).

To adjust sharpness, select Sharpness from the Picture Adjust menu and press ENTER . On your external test pattern sou rce, select a pattern like the one shown in Figure 4- 5 .

Auto Tuning: To have the DView automatically detect availabl e TV or CATV channels, select Auto Tuning and press ENTER .

Enter the default Personal Identification Number (PIN) – 0000 – and press ENTER again.
