1. BEFORE USING UM150 1.1 About this User’ s Manual Y ou will find all the inf or mation you need to install and use the UM150 in this user’ s manual. Bef ore using the UM150, you must properly install the UM150 b y closely f ollowing the installation instructions.

1.6 Product Handling 1) Do not put any adhesiv e label on the USB connector . It ma y lea v e a stic ky residue that can cause problems inside the PC USB por t. 2) The UM150 USB de vice should easily slide into the USB por t. Do not f orce the UM150 into the USB por t as it may cause damage to the modem and/or the por t.

5 UM150 User’ s Manual 2.3 Installing Software 2.3.1 Installation • If y ou install VZAccess Manager , it will install the USB Dr iv er f or the UM150. F ollow the instructions from VZAccess Manager f or installation. 2.3.2 W arnings • Mak e sure to complete the unplugging/ejection process before remo ving the UM150.
2.3.4 Using the De vice The usage mode is set b y sliding the window up or do wn bef ore connecting to y our PC. • T o use the UM150 as both a modem and mass storage de vice, slide the window up and inser t the UM150 into a PC USB por t. T o use it as a mass storage de vice only , slide the window down and inser t the UM150 into a PC USB por t.
2.3.5 Using the De vice as a Mass Storage Unit • T o use this de vice as a Mass storage unit, y ou must inser t microSD Card (sold separately) in the slot located in the right down side of this de vice.
