7 2. USING THE VECTOR ® AS A JUMP-ST ART SYSTEM W ARNING: 1. Before using this system to jump-start any vehicle or boat, read and understand all instructions, safety tips, warnings, cautions and first aid information provided in this manual and on the product labeling.
8 2.1 EASY , STEP-BY -STEP JUMP-ST ARTING INSTRUCTIONS 1. T urn OFF vehicle ignition and all accessories (radio, A/C, lights, cell phone, etc.). Place vehicle in park and set the emergency brake. 2. Remove booster clamps from protective holster (Figure 2): simply squeeze the handles and pull down on the clamp.

10 3.2 12 VOL T DC CHARGING 1. Insert one end of the DC/DC charging adapter into the 12 V olt DC accessor y receptacle on the vehicle or boat. 2. Insert the plug at the other end of this charging adapter into the 12 V olt DC accessor y socket receptacle on the front panel of the unit.
11 6. AIR COMPRESSOR/TIRE INFLA TOR IMPORT ANT : Read Instructions Carefully T o Avoid Possible Injur y Or Property Damage. The built-in 12 V olt DC air compressor is the ultimate compressor for all vehicles, trailer tires and recreational inflatables.
