UDS 1491 5 1. W ith access cov er open, grasp printhead (1) and slide to center . 2. Remov e ribbon cartridge from packaging. ! Important! Leav e the clear plastic ribb on shield ( 2 ) on the cartridge.

12 UDS 1491 1. Abov e view is from rear . Locate tractors. Pull up on tra ctor lock le vers (1) to release tractors. 2. Position right-hand tractor for width of paper . See paper size r efer ence marks on printer . 3. Open the t ractor covers (2). This action raises the paper separ ator .
UDS 1491 13 Pull paper and place first tw o holes on each side over tractor pins (1). ! Equal number of pa per holes must be engaged on each tractor to ensure pro per paper feed.

18 UDS 1491 Setting the T op of Form (TOF) Position The factory default setting for the T op of Form (TOF) (where the printing should begin) is one inch do wn from the top of the page. The first line prints at the red line on the plastic paper shield (1).
