BASICS [ 16 ] T raveling Out-of-Range During a call, as you begin to m ove your handset too f ar from your base unit, n oise incr eases. If you pass the r ang e limits of th e base unit, your call will terminate within 30 secon ds.
[ 17 ] MEMOR Y DIALING BASICS • In mem ory dialin g operati on, you must pr ess a key within 20 seconds or th e phon e will return to standby . If you return the han dset to the base , the phon e will return to standby also. • Y ou have 20 seconds after pressin g m to enter th e number you wish to store .
MEMOR Y DIALING [ 18 ] The pause featur e is useful for lon g distance callin g, credit car d dialin g, or sequences that requir e a pause between digits . Steps for Entering Names and Special Characters Refer to the letters on th e number k eys to select the d esired char acters.

MEMOR Y DIALING [ 20 ] Chain Dialing The 10 m emory locati ons on th e handset ar e not limited to ph one n umbers. Y ou may want to stor e in mem ory a group o f numbers (up to 20 di gits) that you need to en ter once your call conn ects. This is r eferred to as Chain Dialin g.
