Connecting Lines Installing Batteries Shaker Icon Indicat es the shaker and vi sual ringer is enabled. Signal Ic on Indicat es whether the current signal exists or not. If the handset is too far from the base, this icon w ill blink on t he LCD. Alarm Icon This icon appear s when y ou set an alarm to ring at a speci fied time.
Charging Handset Using Headset (optional) 3. T o replac e the batter y cover , sli de the cov er up until it snaps in place. Notes: Reversing the orientation may damage the handset . The batteries need to be r eplaced if they do n ot r ecover t heir full storage capacities after r echar ging.
T urning Handset On/Off If the handset is in po wer of f mode, when you place the handset on the b ase, it automatically turns on. T o turn the han dset on or of f in standb y mode, follow these steps: 1. T o turn on the handset when it's off, press and hold the key until you switch the display on.
Note: T o make a call to the last number you dialed, use the Redial f eatur e. For details, see par . Last Number Redial . Y ou can enter the desired phone number in standby m ode, which allows you to make corrections before dialing. Follow these steps: 1.
Example: Y ou want to say somethin g to another person i n t he room but do not want the other party to hear you. T o mute your microphone, press the Mute soft key during the conversation. The " Call Muted " appears on the LCD. T o unm ute the microphone, press the Mute soft key again.
Note: If you set the volume to "Off", when a call comes in, only the New Call information appears on the LCD. Last Number Redial 1. Press the key or the Redial soft key in standby mode.in standby mode. Result: The LCD displays the last n umber you dialed.
4. T o return to standb y mode, press the key . Note: At step 3, when you select Delete or Delete All options, a me ssage " Confirm ? " w ill further ask you to confirm the deletion. T o confirm pr ess the Del or Del All soft key , to escape pr ess th e Cancel soft key .

Key Lock If y ou turn on this feature, all key s will be locked except M1 , M2 and S OS . Y ou can answer calls by using the key . But when you hang up, the phone returns to the l ocked mode.

Menu Map Phone Book The phonebook built i n your cordless phon e allows y ou to store frequentl y u sed numbers so that you can easily make a call without having to remember or enter the phone number .
1. Press the Menu soft key . 2. Press the ke y to choose the Phonebook , press the Select soft key . 3. Press the Select soft key to choose New . 4. The displa y shows " Name ? ". Enter the name you want to us e, then press the Next soft ke y to confirm.

5. Enter the current date/time by numeric keypad and press the Save soft key to save and exit . Notes: If you select 12-Hour , AM / PM will appear on the right of the time in standby mode. At step 5 you need to enter the time in 24-Hour format. Selecting a Base This function allows you to select a base from those alread y registered to the handset.

Note: During the int ernal call, if an external call comes in, the LCD will show the caller's number . Y ou s hould pr ess the key to end the internal call first then pr ess the key to answ er the call. Call transfer between hand sets Y ou can transfer an external call between the handsets thos e are registered to the same base.
