Rev er se Clut c h Cable Caref ully unwrap the r everse clutch cab le (Red) f rom its 1 . shipping p osition . Pull the cable up t hrough the top ho le in the cab le bracket an d push the cab le conne ctor up through the h ole in the b racket until the gro ove in the connec tor snaps into pla ce.

Clearing the Tines The tin es have a self-cl earing ac tion w hich eliminates mos t tanglin g of debris in th e tines. H owever , occasiona lly dr y grass, strin gy sta lks o r tough vine s may become t angled . Follow these procedu res to help avoid tanglin g and to clean the tin es, if n e c e ss ar y.

Lubric ation Af ter ever y 1 0 op erating ho urs, oil or g rease the lubr ication point s shown in Fig. 6 - 1 and d escribe d bel ow . Use a clean lubri cating oil (# 30 weight m otor oil is suitabl e) and a clean g eneral p urpos e grease (grease containi ng a meta l lubric ant is prefer red, if availab le) .
Belt Replac ement If the dri ve belt ne eds to be re placed, s ee your lo cal author ized dealer o r refer to the R eplacem ent Part s Sec tio n for order ing informati on. Use only a f ac tor y-autho rized b elt as an “over - the - counter” b elt may not pe r form satis fac torily.
