5 SECTION 2: ASSEMBLING YOUR YARD VACUUM IMPORT ANT: This unit is shipped without gaso line or oil in the engine. Be cer tain to service engine with gasoline and oil as instructed in the separate engine manual before op erating y our machin e. NOTE: Reference to right or left hand side of the Yard Vacuum is observed from the operating position.
6 Attaching The Handle • Remove the hairpi n clips from the handle brackets and remove the carr iage screws and wing nuts from the lower handl e. See Figure 3A. Figure 3 • Place the bottom holes in lower handle over the pins on the handle br ackets and secure with hairpin clips.
7 Attaching The Bag • Grasp bag handle wit h one hand and slide locking rod on mounting br acket with other hand toward engine. Use the end of moun ting bracket as leverage when sliding t he locking rod. See Figure 6 . 9 SECTION 4: OPERATING YOUR YARD VACUUM WARNING: The operation of th e Yard Vacuum can result in foreign objects being thrown i nto the eyes, which can damage your eyes sev erely. Always wear the safety glasses provided with this uni t or eye shields bef ore chipping or blowing and while performing any adjustments or repairs.

11 SECTION 5: MAINTAINING YOUR YARD VACUUM WARNING: Always stop e ngine and disconnect s park plug wire bef ore cleaning, lubricating o r doing any kind of maintenance on your machine. Lubrication Wheels: Lubricate each whe el shoulder screw o nce a season with light oil.
12 SECTION 6: SERVICING YOUR YARD VACUUM Drive Contr ol Cable Adjustment Adjust the drive contro l cable if the yard vacuum does not self propel with the drive co ntrol engaged, or if the unit hesitates while the engine maintain s the same speed afte r approxim ately 20 h ours of us e.
13 • Remove self-tapping screw on right side of unit t hat attaches to the fail scr een. See Figure 16. Figure 16 • Remove hex screw on top of rear housing near mounting bracke t and the flange lock nut that secures flail screen. See Figure 14. • Remove and clean the screen by scraping or washing with water.
14 • Using a 3/16” alle n wrench, remo ve the flat head cap screws that hold the chipper blade to the impeller. These screws are accessib le through the opening create d when the chippe r chute was removed earlie r.
