2 Intr oduction T ripp Lite BP Series External Battery Packs have output voltages of either 24, 36, 48, 72 or 240 DC volts and are designed for use with various T ripp Lite UPS systems equipped with external battery pack connectors.
3 Mounting (Rac k) Mount your rackmount battery pack in either a 4-post or 2-post rack or rack enclosure (see next page for 2-post mounting). The user must determine the fitness of hardware and procedures before mounting. If hardware and procedures are not suitable for your application, contact the manufacturer of your rack or rack enclosure.
4 Mounting (Rac k) continued 2-P ost (T elecom) Mounting If you mount rackmount battery packs in 2-post racks, they require the addition of a T ripp Lite 2-Post Rackmount Installation Kit (model: 2POSTRMKIT , sold separately). See Installation Kit owner ’ s manual for installation procedure for rackmount battery packs.
5 Battery packs require no maintenance but should be kept dry at all times. A void installation in locations with high heat and/or humidity . The battery packs should be kept fully charged by being connected to an active UPS system, not left in a depleted condition.
6 Seller warrants this product, if used in accordance with all applicable instructions, to be free from original defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of initial purchase.
