Unpacking Y our Iron Unpack the iron c arefull y . If you dispose of the packaging , do so having regar d to any r ec ycling r egulations in your ar ea. Filling the Iron DO NO T use water con taining sof t eners, per fumes or additiv es as these may damage the iron ir repar ably . Unplug the iron fr om the mains. Set the Steam C ontr ol to OFF . Lift up the water ller c ap . Be careful not to use e xc essive for ce or you may damage the hinge.
Shot of Steam Button This fea tur e may be used during steam or dr y ir oning but only when the iron is at highest settings. Pr ess the Shot of Steam button to release a surge of steam. Y ou may need to press the button a few times to prime the system.
After y ou hav e nished ironing: Set the steam contr ol to minimum. Switch the ir on o at the mains and unplug . Stand the ir on on its heel and let the iron cool down fully . When the ir on is cool: Invert the iron, open the ller and pour awa y the exc ess water fr om the tank.
