1 Introduction Thank you for purchasi ng T ranscend’ s Memory S tick Reader/W r ite r . The USB key-chai n type design o f this d evice provi des you with a conv enient and fas t data ex change mechanism (MP3 , PDA, Digital Camera, data, etc…) with very easy Plug and Play inst allation.
2 System Requirements One standard US B port One of the foll owing operati ng systems: W indows 98S E W in dows 2000 W indows Me W indows XP Mac OS 8.
3 Step 2: Insert the Memory Stick Reader /Writer Driver CD into the CD-ROM driv e and run the Setu p.exe program. Step 3: The Installa tion W izard will guide you thro ugh the comp lete installation process. Hardware Setup S tep 1: Connect the M emory S tick Reader /W rite r to an av ailable U SB por t of your compu ter .
4 S tep 3: The Memory S tick Reader/ Writer is ready f or us e. Y ou can find a new Removable Disk drive w ith a newly assig ned drive letter i n the My Computer w indow .
5 Driv er Installati on W indows 98SE S te p1a: W hen you plug t he Memory S tick Reader/W riter into a USB port on your comput er , a driv er install ation message for USB MS Card Reader will appear . S tep 1b: Please ins ert the Driver CD into the CD-RO M drive.
6 S tep 3a: Please choose “ Speci fy a location ”. Click o n “ Brows e ” to sel ect the correct p ath to the driver f o lder . S tep 3b: The Browse for folder wi ndow should open. Br owse to y our CD-ROM drive. C lick on “ Drive (E:) ” ( where E is th e CD-ROM d rive letter).
7 S tep 3c: Return to the pr evious w indo w and cli ck on “ Next ”. S tep 4: Y our comp uter should fi nd “ USB Memory S tick Reader/Writ er ”.
8 S tep 5: Please click on “ Finish ” to continue. S tep 6: Y our com puter should find the “ Memory Stick Reader/ Writer ” now . Click on “ Next ”.
9 S tep 7: Please repeat S te ps 2 to 4, wi th the driver located in the same path (e.g.,“ E:W in98 ”). Click “ Next ” to co ntinue. S tep 8: Please click on “ Finish ” to co mplete installati on. S tep 9: The Memory S tick Reader/ Writer is ready f or us e.
10 To Uninstall You can uni nstall the Memory Stick Reader/Wri ter and driv er by running Uninstall f rom the D river C D. Follow the ons creen instructions to complete the process. Mak e sur e th e Gr ee n LED li g ht o n t he product is o ff before y ou unpl ug it from the computer.
11 Step 2: Right cl ick on the “ icon ”. " Unplug or eject hardware " should appear. Left click to e nter the remov al window . Step 3: After the window sho wn below app ears, please s elect the “ USB Memory Stick Reader/Writer ” and click on " Stop " to c ontinue.
12 Ste p 5: W hen th e “ Safe To Remove Hardware ” window appears, the Memory Stick Reader/Writer is rea dy to be disconnected. Click on “ OK ” If this re moval proced ure is not fol lowed before disconnecting t he Memor y Stick Reader/ Writer , the message “ Unsafe Removal of Device ” appears.
13 Use of Memory Stick Reader/W riter with Mac OS 1. Plug the Memory Stick Reader/Wr iter into an av ailable USB port . 2. Insert a Memo ry Stick into Memory Stick Reader/Writer. A disk icon will appear o n the desktop. Y ou can then use th e Memory Stick as i f it were a Mac HardDisk.
