2 Introduction ︱ ︱ ︱ ︱ Congratulations on pur chasing T r anscend’ s PF705 Digital Photo Fra me. Now you can easily display yo ur entire photo colle ction at home or at the o ffice. T he Photo Frame can convenien tly display digital ph otos stored on any USB flash drive or memory card.

5 S etting Up the Photo Frame 1. Attach the Tabletop Stand to the back o f the Photo Frame by sc rewing it clockwise into the S tand Attachment Hole show n above. 2. Once the stand is attache d, the Photo Frame may be positioned vertically or horizontally (Landscape or Portrait orientation) 3.
6 Usi ng a memory card or USB flash dri ve 1. Insert a memory card or USB flash drive into i ts appropriate slot on the Ph oto Frame. 2. Once a memory card or USB flash drive is plugged in, the Pho to Frame wi ll automatically begin slideshow play back of all photos avail able on your memory card o r flash drive.
7 Options Menu The Options menu allow s access to additional functions that are av ailable for the curren t mode. 1. Press to show the Options window. 2.
8 Connecting to a Computer ︱ ︱ ︱ ︱ To t ransfer pictures betw een a memory card conn ected to the Pho to F rame and your compute r, co nnect the Photo Frame to a USB p ort on your computer using the provi ded USB cable. 1. Turn on the Photo Fra me .
9 *Note: E: and F: are example drive letters - the letters in your “My Computer” window may differ Proper removal of your Photo Frame (from Windows ): 1. Click once on the Re movable H ardware icon in the system tray . 2. The Safely Remov e Hardware pop-up w indow will appear.

W he n Photo Frame is co nnected to a computer, it can only be used for transferring files. You will not be able to use any of the Pho to Frame’s features at t his time.
11 Photo Modes ︱ ︱ ︱ ︱ The Photo Frame has three basic modes – T humbnail , Photo Vie w and Slidesho w . The Thumbnail mode lets you browse for specific photos, the Photo View mode is for display ing a single picture at a time, and the Slideshow mode w ill automatically display all available photos.
12 Options: Sort By : Select sor t by date or filename • Date: Sort by crea te date of the file • Name: Sort by file name Photo Repeat Mode: Adjusts the order photos are displayed when pressing and . • Normal: Display all available photos se quentially.
13 Options for Selecting Multiple Photos: • Select A ll: Select all ite ms in current media source. • Deselect A ll: Deselect all items in current media source. • Select A ll On Page: Select all items on cu rrent page. • Deselect A ll On Page: Deselect all item s on current page.
14 P hoto Vie w Mode You can v iew , zoom-in, or rotate a single p hoto in Photo Vie w mode. Use the and buttons to v iew the next or previ ous photo availa ble. Options: Zoom: Select this ite m to enlarge the di splayed image to twice its normal siz e (2x).
15 Calendar: Display or hide the on-screen calend ar Select Source: Chan ge the media source to browse photos from. Use the and buttons to select one of the av ailable storage devi ces and press .
16 S lideshow Mode This mode starts slidesh ow playb ack of all photos in the selected sou rce. Slid eshow mode w ill play based on the settings in the Options menu. Options: Photo Repeat Mode: Adjusts the order photos are displayed when pressing and .
17 Themes: This op tion lets you select various themes to comple ment your pictures wh ile viewing in Slideshow or Photo View. Use the / or / buttons to highlight None, Xmas, Halloween, Clock, Valentine’s Day , New Yea r, Taiwan, Japan or Europe, then p ress to confirm.
18 Calendar ︱ ︱ ︱ ︱ W ith Calendar mode, you r Photo Frame becomes an attractiv e desktop calendar and clock that lets you set important date reminder s and display your favorite photos, too. T he Calendar m ode displays a monthly calendar and digital clock at the botto m of the screen while displaying a photo or slideshow of your choice.

20 Settings ︱ ︱ ︱ ︱ The Settings menu includes advanced f eatures that let you adjust the photo fr ame’ s display , set the time & date, ch ange languages, and even conf igure the p hoto frame to au tomatical ly turn on and o ff at c erta in time s of the day .
21 • Brightness: press / t o fine-tune the brightness of the screen. • Contrast: Press / t o make adjust ments to the screen’ s contrast. • Fullscreen: Press or to enable or disable . I f disabled, Photo Frame will preserve the original dimensions of th e image on t he screen .
22 NOTE: The Photo Frame alw ays preserves the origi nal aspect ratio o f all images based on each picture file’ s orientatio n information (EXIF), and NEV ER stretches the m to fill the entire s creen.
23 Date / Time This option lets y ou adjust the current date & time and set y our Photo F rame to auto matically turn on and of f every day at a specific time.

27 Why does the time and date reset a fter unplugging the AC adapter? If you unplug the Photo Frame for a long time, its internal backup battery will eventually drain. Typically, th e Photo Frame can keep your time and da te for about 2~3 day s after unpluggin g the AC power adapter.
