V A V -SVX02B-EN Thermost at Selec tion and Location In general, both one- and two-pipe thermost ats have a gain of 2.5 psi per degree F ahrenheit, unless special thermosta ts are used that provide a different g ain.
3 V A V -SVX02B-EN Thermostat Specif icat ions TP970 S eries Pneumatic T -stats Maximum Safe Air Pressure: 25psi (172 kPa) Maximum S afe Air T emperature: 150°F (66°C) Throttling Range: 2–1 0°F (1–5°C) Gain: 2.5 psi/ °F Adjustable Ope ra t ion Pneumatic thermost ats modulate out put air pressure in respons e to room air temperature.
V A V -SVX02B-EN Inst alla tion and Oper a t ion The reversing relay is a proportional, non-bleeding device for use in pneu- matic control systems where a propor - tional signal from a controlling device must be reversed (see Figure 5). The most common use of the reversing relay is to c hange the action of a pneumatic thermostat.
5 V A V -SVX02B-EN Re v er sing Rela y Calibrat ion By using the “bias” adjustment on the relay , t he factory-set 8.0 – 9.0 “cross- over” can be c hanged. T o recalibrate, the relay should be connected as illustrated in F igure 8. F igure 8 – Rec a libra ting Reve rsing Re lay If the new desired “cross-over” pressure is 1 1 .
V A V -SVX02B-EN Model 30 1 1 The model 30 1 1 Pneumatic V olume Regulator (PVR) is capable of operating with normally-open or normally-closed air valves and can operate with either direct-acting (DA) or reverse-acting (RA) thermostats. F igure 9 – Accepta ble Installa tion Positions Ins ta lla tion 1 .
7 V A V -SVX02B-EN Use the following procedure to set-up the PVR: 1 . Select damper action (NO or NC). Loosen damper selection switc h screw and align to either the NO or NC pointer with damper pointer and tighten screw. 2 . Now determine the type of thermostat that will be used.
V A V -SVX02B-EN Calibration P r oced ur es Calibr a ti on P roc e dure (Steps 1– 4 apply to all ther mos t a t m odels) 1 . Be sure the PVR is installed correctly and that all connections are hooked up to the proper ports. See Figure 9 for unit appl ication.

V A V -SVX02B-EN 10 Model 350 1 The model 350 1 Pneumatic V olume Regulator (PVR) is capable of operating with normally-open or normally-closed air valves and can operate with either direct-acting (DA) or reverse-acting (RA) thermostats. Adjusting the Reset Span (350 1) The reset span is factory-set at 5 psi.
V A V -SVX02B-EN 11 Calibration P r ocedures Calibr ation Pr oce dure (Steps 1– 4 apply to all ther mostat models) 1 . Be sure the PVR is installed correctly and that all connections are hooked up to the proper ports. 2 . Remove the caps on the tees, whic h are connected to the lines to the flow sensor .

V A V -SVX02B-EN 13 MCP -3631—Rotary Pneumatic D amper Ac tuat or Desc ription: Rotary actuators mounts to a standard ½" diameter shaf t by a loc king collar and bushing.
V A V -SVX02B-EN 14 Constant V ol ume Dual-Duct Calibration (30 1 1) This calibration procedure is used when a constant volume of air must be maintained through a unit. On a dual- duct unit, a constant-volume disc harge sensor is used to measure the air leaving the unit.
V A V -SVX02B-EN 15 Thermostat Range: 3 – 8 psi Heating V alve = 5 psi range Thermostat Range: 8 –13 psi Cooling V alve = 5 psi range Approximately 1 0 0 0 cfm di vided by 5 psi = 200 cfm/1b* *Due.
