2 3A If you are unsure about connecting this wire or y ou do not have an y unused wires at the thermostat, contact Customer Service at (877)288-7707. Connect a 24 V AC common wire to po wer the thermostat. 3 Determine if y our system has a 24 V A C common wire which is required to po wer the thermostat.
3 Label the wires on y our existing thermostat to match terminal names. • Do not use wire colors to chose labels. The terminal name is what is important.
4 6 Identify y our System T ype from the list belo w . Y ou will need to chec k your wire labels to help identify the system type . CA UTION: EQUIPMENT D AMA GE HAZARD Improper system type selection can lead to equipment dama ge or high utility costs.
5 10 Install new wall plate. a . Pull wires through hole in center of wall plate . b. Locate the new w all plate ov er existing opening. c . Attach wall plate to wall using two scre ws provided. Do not ov er tighten. 7 Separate the face of the new thermostat fr om the wall plate.
6 11 Revie w the wiring table information. a . Ref er to: • T able1-Ify oudoNO Thav eaheatpump • T able 2 - If y ou hav e a heat pump b. Select the correct row based upon the thermostat being replaced, and then circle the wire labels you ha ve .
7 13 If necessary , cut the internal jumper wire (JP1). 24RC 24RH W1 RC 24RC 24RH W1 RH OR 24RC 24RH W1 RC RH Do NO T cut JP1 jumper Cut JP1 jumper If only one wire is connected to either 24RC or 24RH.
8 17 If your System T ype is: Gas Furnace - Single Stage ,gotostep19 Gas Furnace - Multistage ,perf or mstep18A Electric Furnace ,perf or mstep18B Heat Pu.
9 Gas Furnace - Multistage Mechanical Settings a . Press the MENU button twice . b. Press and hold the two inner b uttons for 3 seconds to vie w Installer Settings. c . Scroll down to System Settings and press the Select button. d . Scroll to Mechanical Settings (itistherstoption),thenpressthe Select button.
10 T est Heating Operation (if your system has heating) a . Press the MODE button. b. Scroll to HEA TING . c . Press the Done button to return to the home screen. d . T urn the temperature up using the scroll up button until the ne w setpoint is abov e the room temperature.
11 20 Prepare the Schlage Bridge for enr ollment. • If you are using a contr oller that is not a Schlage Bridge, consult the instructions that came with the controller to find out ho w to enroll a new de vice . a . Unplug Ethernet and power cables from Schlage Bridge.
12 23 Establish Online Contr ol of the Thermostat. A Schlage LiNK account is required to complete the setup . If you ha ve an activ e Schlage LiNK account, continue with the steps belo w .
