2 The following steps m ust be performed to properly install your D V D W r iteable dri ve. z Set dri ve’ s jumpers z Connect audio cable z Attach IDE BUS cable z Connect power ca ble z Mount D VD W.
1. Remove computer co ver and f aceplate if required (refer to your computer system’ s manual for removal information). 2. If the D VD Writeable dri ve is r eplacing a CD-R OM, disconnect all connectors and remov e the CD-R OM presently installed in your system.
4 Connect secondary IDE BUS cable to the D VD Writeable dri ve, assuring that pin 1 of the cable (side with red stripe) is connected to pin 1 on the dri v e. • If the D VD Writeable dr iv e is the only drive connected on the secondary IDE BUS cable: connect dri ve to the last set of pins on IDE B US cable.
COMPLETING INSTALLATION After you hav e connected all the necessary cables, push the D VD Writeable dri ve completely into the computer’ s driv e slot. Mount the driv e per your computer’ s instructions using the scre ws included in your kit. If you are using other screws, assure that the scre w length does not exceed 3±0.
MEDIA After installing Nero6 OEM Suite 3 software your system is ready to use. Some important things to remember when using your D VD Writeable dri ve: z Do not insert more than one CD or D VD disc into the dri ve at a time. z Do not insert an ything other than a CD or D VD disc into dri ve.
