7 E 1. INTRODUCTION Congratulations! With our new BEHRINGER TRUTH B2031 you have purchased one of the best high-resolution active studio monitors available. It is a tool that reproduces your program material with highest fidelity and balance, positioning sound sources accurately on the stereo basis.
8 1.3 Control elements The control elements described in the following are the same on both speakers. Fig. 1.1: Front panel display elements 1 ON . This LED lights up as soon as you switch on the speaker. 2 LIMIT . Lights up as soon as one of the built-in protections is activated.

10 2. APPLICATIONS 2. 1 Connection Use the enclosed power cord to connect the B2031 to the mains. To avoid ground loops, both speakers and the mixing console should be fed from the same outlet.
11 E 2.3 Recommended setup Even though the B2031 is an excellent active speaker, it needs to be set up with great care, because even the built-in room adaptation facility cannot make up for poor positioning of the speaker. Please try to heed the following suggestions.
12 Fig. 2.2: Correct speaker setup This effect can be reduced by turning the speakers towards the listener. To make reflections from ceiling or floor less likely, the tweeters should be on the same height as your ears. Please note that the TRUTH should be operated vertically.

14 3. INSTALLATION Your TRUTH was carefully packed in the factory and the packaging is designed to protect the unit from rough handling. Nevertheless, we recommend that you carefully examine the carton and its contents for any signs of physical damage, which may have occurred in transit.
