When Installing t he Unit Never plug in nor remove t he power supply pl ug with w et hands, as doing so m ay cause electric shock. Wh en unplugging the power supply cord, be sur e to grasp the power supply plug; never pull on th e co r d itself. Operating the un it wi th a damaged power supply cord m ay cause a fire o r electric shock.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION TOA's I P series dual power amplifiers feature high durability, high quality sound and high output power (IP- 30 0 D : 300 W , IP-450D: 450 W, IP-600D: 600 W - wh e n a 4 load connected). Input/output levels and other fu n ct i o ns c an be remotely controlled f r o m external equipment.
5. NOMENCLATURE AND FUNCTIONS [ Front Panel ] Power switch Power is switched on and of f with each depression o f this switch. Power indicator lamp Lights green when the power is switched on . Signal indicator l amp Lights green regardless of th e in put level control setting when there i s a n input of a signal with a level exceeding -30 dB .
[R e a r panel] Input t ermi nal Electrically-balanced input terminals. T h e 3P screw terminal is connected i n parallel wi t h a balanced phone jack. Also, the in p ut ca n be converted into a transformer- balanced input usin g a n optional matching transformer LT-101.
6. INSTALLATION Carefully note heat radiation when in st a lling t he unit. These power amplifiers are equipped with a cooling fan. To avoid heat buildup, ensure that the rear o f th e unit is at least 10 cm away from th e wall surface. Wh en mounting the u n it in the rack, the i nsid e of the rack must be w e l l ventilated.
7. CONNECTIONS 1 . Swi tch o f f th e amplifier power. 2. Unscrew the output terminal cover. 3. Strip 1 0 mm o f insulative jacket f r om th e end of the speaker cable, as shown i n the figure a t right. 4. Connect speaker cables to the output terminals.
8. CLEANING THE FILTER 1 . Switch off the ampl ifier power. 2 . Pu l l the filter from th e front panel as shown in the figure. 3. Clean the filter. 4 . F i t th e filter i n place. [Precautions] Mak e sure that the f a n i s turned off when removing the filter.
