Master Su b Relationship Master/Substation associations a re se t u p by using station #2 00 as the programming station. Once these relationships ha ve bee n established, substations ca n then contact.
Personal Number Ca l l A personal number may be reg istered at any master station which the person to whom the num ber is assigned expects to be . A party wishing to receive personal number calls at a specific station ma y register his number at th at station by touch dialing Confirmation tone Personal Number.
Continuous Calling T o n e When the re is an in com ing c a l l to the sp ec ified station, a calling tone is sounded continuously at the called station. Th e continuous calling tone stops i f the called party presses 1 . U s e this function wh en i t i s difficult to h e a r a bri ef single tone due to high background noise.
Remote Response A ca ll to a certain station c an b e remotely responded to f ro m the other station b y simply depressing while a continuous call to n e i s ringing or within 5 seconds after a brief call tone has stopped ringing. Notes. 1 . T he Remote Response is only possible among stations programmed for this fu n ction.
C a l l Transfer C al l Transfer from Cal led Sta tion During the conversation, first d ia l (t he Station Number o f t h e pers on t he call is to b e trans- ferred t o) . The original cal l is then held and the hol ding tone is trans- mitted t o the other party, while th e third party i s called an d asked whether h e will accept the call.
Paging during N or m al Calls This function a ll o ws a paging c al l to b e m ade during the conversation to call the third party and ask h im if he accepts the call, while holding the original conversation. T h e original call, i f h e accepts, is transferred to the third party.
Secretary Transfer This function i s only available when a specified station i s programmed f o r t hi s purpose wi th us e o f S tation # 20 0 i n the programming mode. Automatic transfer o f incoming calls b y an executive to hi s secretary is accomplished by placing the Privacy Switch on his station in the ON position.
Secretary Transfer an d C a l l Transfer P V Type Combination of the secretary transfer and ca ll transfer al lo ws rerouting o f the call transferred to the secretary ba ck to th e executive's station.
Secretary Transfer an d C a l l Transfer N P Type Adoption of the selective function "Transfer" allows rerout- i n g of t he call transferred t o th e secretary ba ck to the executive's station.
C a l l Forwarding Wh en y ou will b e away from you r station and wish al l incoming ca l l s to b e rerou ted to a different destination you are going to mo ve to, you ca n d o so b y registering that st a ti o n number bef or e y ou leave.
Priority When the party called is on the line, as indicated by t he busy tone, dialing transmits a priority tone to the called party. The sa me tone i s audible a t the ca lling sta tion.
Highest Executive Priority Thi s function i s available only for those stations specifically programmed for this function, with programming station N o . 2 0 0 . Wh en th e station called is bu sy , a s indicated by th e bus y or privacy tone, dialing sends a p ri o r it y tone.
Conference A "Hands-Free" conference call ca n be made w it h up to 4 persons. For a co n fe re n ce under th i s fu n ction the oth er participants may be called eithe r through their station num- ber, personal number o r by Single Digit Dialing.
Paging A variety of pag ing m od es allows paging over a wid e are a from any master station. The paged party may respond f r o m the nearest master station. Paging modes include external P A systems and/or Station paging and Z one paging is fo r c a lling a li m ited area, an d All-call paging is f o r calling o ve r the entire area.
Other P a gi ng Modes 1 . Combination paging Combination paging is used when several zones must be paged si m u lt aneously through Exte rn al P A or Station paging. A special paging area can be created wherever th e paging ranges overlap by combining several zones.
Ho w t o select th e p ag in g a re a an d mak e the p a gi ng call. Paging functions may include both external PA a nd sta- tions, depending on the zo ne being used. The paging area is limited to individual zone, Combination paging and All-call paging depen ding on the c al l range.
Al l-C al l Paging a n d Individual Z o n e Paging or ('0' or '0 0" = all-call) an d t he desired zone n um be r ( ' 0 ' = a ll-call). I t i s possible to wa it f o r a response i n th i s mode, but anything sa id will b e broadcasted over the entire zone.
Combination Pag in g Several zones c an be called simultaneously usi ng exter nal PA paging a nd station paging. Thi s i s combination paging an d is initiated by pressing Paging w i l l be broadcast to predetermined zones.

Emergency All-Call Pag ing Handset substation TL-600S should n orma lly be u se d for the emergency all-call station, No . 2 4 7. < Emergency all-call paging i s made > To broadcast emergency all-call paging, pick up a handset. The highest p ri o ri t y all-call paging can be broadcasted to a ll zones without a paging pre-announcement tone.
Priority Station Pa gi ng Nor mal station paging ca l l s are no t audible at the bu sy stations, b u t the Priority Station Paging can break in on such b us y stations. < Example 1 > 1 . Group Blocking Funtion ( A) The system ca n b e grouped or divided in to a maximum of 6 groups of stations with consecutive station numbers b y exchanges "A", "B" and "C". D ifferent station groups cannot call each another.

Simplified Paging I f a n external speaker is connected instead of a station, simplified paging ca n be made without the PA amplifier when the caller dials that station number and makes a paging call. Note. Fo r further details, refer to "Installation H andbook fo r Exchange".

External interfaces 1 . Types o f external interfaces Ex te rn al interfaces are c la ssified in to f our types: O D interface, LD interface, CB interface, an d Tie-line in ter - fac e (depending on their external equipment). ( 1 ) The OD interface connects th e intercom system t o th e external PBX via 4- wire re nte d lines.

Selected P ag in g The Selected Paging permits simu lt aneous pag ing of arbitrary stations or zones selected freely at a master station. I t is broadly divi ded into two classifications: Individually Selected Paging and Matrix Selected Paging. Each function offers th e following paging modes.
