TD170_E 5 Unpacking and set - up Take the reco rd player and all accessories out of the carton. Insert each h inge i nto the respective recess (Fig . 3). Hold the dust c over paral lel to the hi nges (openi ng angl e approximatel y 60°), i nsert and push as far as i t will go.

Screw the tonea rm cou nter weigh t ( 3 ) onto the r ear tonearm tub e (Fig. 5). Unlock the ton e arm ( 4 ) a bit towards th e centr e of the plat ter.

Unscrew th e cartridge a nd carefull y remove the coloured si gnal leads from the cartrid ge pins wi th a pair of tweez ers.
