31 SETTING UP: WHEN ONE TRANSMITTER I S USED 1. First, insert the batteries in the transmitter (see “ How to install an d replace batteries in the Temperature Transmitter ” below).

36 LCD SCREEN * When the signal is successfully received by the Weather Station, the outdoor transmission icon will be switched on. (If not successful, the icon will not be shown on LCD). The user can then easily see whether the last reception was successful (icon on) or not (icon off).
37 DCF-77 RADIO CONTRO LLED TIME The time base for the radio-controlled tim e is a Cesium Atomic Clock operated by the Physi kalisch Technische Bundesanstalt Braunschweig w hich has a time deviation of less than one second in one m illion years. The time is coded and transm itted from Mainflingen near Frankfurt via frequency signal DCF-77 (77.
38 MANUAL SETTINGS The following manual settings can be changed w hen pressing the SET key for: • LCD contrast setting • Time zone setting • Time reception ON/OFF setting • 12/24-Hour setting .
39 The time zone default of the Weather Station i s 0. To change to another time zone: 1. Press the SET key after completing the LCD contrast sett ing in order to enter the time zone setting (flashing). 2. Using the IN key, set the time zone. The rang e runs from 0 to +12 and then runs from -12 b ack to 0 in consecutive 1 hour intervals.
40 12/24 HOUR TIME DISP LAY SETTING 1. After setting time reception ON/OFF, press the S ET key, “12h” or “24h” flashes in the LCD. 2. Press the IN key to select the “12h” or “24h” display m ode.

44 THE WEATHER TENDENC Y INDICATOR Working together with the weather icons are t he weather tendency indicators (located on the left and r ight hand side of the weather icons).
45 THE COMFORT LEVEL I NDICATORS Comfortable : A happy face icon “ ☺ ” indicat ing a temperature level between 20.0°C and 25.9°C (68° F to 78.6°F) and humidity between 45% and 65% . Uncomfortable : A sad face icon “ ” indicating any value outside the com fortable range.
46 TOGGLING AND RESET TING THE OUTDOOR REC ORDINGS: 1. To toggle between the outdoor current, minimum and maximum temperature data and the tim es at which they were recorded, press the OUT key : Once .
47 LOW BATTERY INDIC ATOR Low battery indicator is displayed on the LCD when the batteries require changing. TEMPERATURE TR ANSMITTER The outdoor temperature is measured and transm itted every 4 seconds. The range of the Temperature transm itter may be affected by the temperature.
48 POSITIONING THE WE ATHER STATION The Weather Station comes attached with a rem ovable table stand, which provides the option of table standing or wall m ounting the unit. Before wall mounting, please check that the outdoor temperature can be received from the desired locations.
49 Note: Before permanently fixing the transm itter wall base, place all units in the desired locations to check that the outdoor temperature and humidity readings are receivable. In event that the s ignal is not received, relocate the transmitter(s) or move them slightly as this may help the signal reception.
