1 Saf ety Pr ecautions W arning! Use e xtr eme caution when ins t alling or r emo ving an outdoor antenna that is l ocated cl ose to o v erhead wir es such as po w er lines, tel ephone lines or cabl e TV lines.
2 About y our ne w TV44 outdoor TV antenna The TV44 f eatur es an int ernal amplifier that minimizes signal l oss. The sat ellite r eceiv er po w ers the amplifier, so no additional po w er suppl y is r equir ed.
3 Ins t alling the TV44 on a satellit e dish 1. Make sur e all satellite r ec eiver s ar e turned off and unplugged fr om the el ectrical outl et. 2. Unsnap the antenna fr om the back notch of the mounting clamp. See Fig 2. 3. Hold the antenna t o the back of the dish so that the cir cular housing is c enter ed with the TERK l ogo facing out.
4 4. Maneuver the clamps o v er or ar ound the edge of the dish one at a time. See Fig 4. 5. Snap the ant enna back into the back notch of the mounting clamp. 6. Tighten the clamps by turning the thumb-wheel scr ew cl ockwise. Not e: W e r ec ommend the use of the enclosed security clips f or any dish 20” or lar ger .
5 Connecting the TV44 Depending on the type of sat ellite dish y ou have, go t o one of the foll o wing five sc enarios to determine how to c onnect the TV44 antenna t o y our satellite dish. A-Singl e LNB (Phase1) Sat ellite Dish 1. Remo v e the LNB fr om the arm of the satellit e dish t o expose the sat ellite c ables.
6 4. Slide 2 black 32”antenna cabl es up thr ough the sat ellite arm and connect t o the LNB. See Fig 8. 5. Reconnect the LNB t o the dish arm. See Fig 8. 6. Connect the r emaining end of the 2 black 32” ant enna cables t o the IN 1 and IN 2 terminals on the TV44 ant enna.
7 Connecting the TV44 ( c o n t i n u e d ) B - T ripl e LNB (Phase3) Sat ellite Dish 1. Remo v e the LNB fr om the arm of the satellit e dish t o expose the sat ellite c ables. See Fig 10. 2. Disc onnect the satellit e c able(s) fr om the sat ellite dish’ s LNB and pull them out thr ough the bott om of the satellit e dish arm.
8 4. Slide 4 black 32” antenna cabl es up thr ough the satellite arm and connect t o the LNB. See Fig 12. 5. Reconnect the LNB t o the dish arm. See Fig 12. 6. Connect the r emaining end of the 4 black 32” ant enna cables t o the IN 1, IN 2, IN 3 and IN 4 terminals on the TV44 ant enna.
9 Connecting the TV44 ( c o n t i n u e d ) C - Phase 2 Sat ellite Dish 1. Disc onnect the satellit e c ables fr om the “OUTPUT” or “T O RECEIVER” terminals on y our multiswitch. 2. Connect the satellite c ables t o the OUT 1, OUT 2, OUT 3, and OUT 4 terminals on the TV44 ant enna.

11 Connecting the TV44 ( c o n t i n u e d ) E - With Dish 500 Using SW21 Swit ches 1. Locat e your SW21 multiswitches and disc onnect the sat ellit e l eads connected t o the “T O RECIEVER” terminals. See Fig 17. 2. Connect the satellite l eads to the OUT 1 and OUT 2 terminals on the TV44 .
12 Ins t alling the indoor dipl e xers 1. Disc onnect the satellit e cabl e fr om the “SA T IN” terminal on y our sat ellite r ec eiver . See Fig 19 . 2. Connect the satellite c able t o the terminal mark ed “TV/SA T” on the indoor dipl exer .
Setting up your TV 1. Ac c ess the menu of y our TV and mak e sur e the TV is in ANT/AIR mode and not C ABLE/C A TV mode. Pl ease r ef er to your TV manual f or the e xact s t eps to change this option. 2. Ac c ess the menu of y our TV and run the “ Auto Pr ogram” option.
