2 Over view ezT alker mini TM by T ekkeon is a miniature cord-free headset that enables comfortable, handsfree communication with your Bluetooth ® mobile phone. ezT alker mini works with your Bluetooth mobile phone to provide clear , high-quality communication.
3 USER GUIDE Getting to Know ezT alker mini Getting Started Before using ezT alker mini, you must: • Charge ezT alker mini • Pair ezT alker mini to your mobile phone • Fit ezT alker mini to your ear Directions for each of these activities are provided in the following three sections.
4 Charging ezT alker mini Before using ezT alker mini, you must charge the headset for approximately two hours. When fully charged, the battery provides up to five hours of talk time and up to 120 hours of standby time. T o Charge the Headset 1. Remove the rubber plug that covers the charging jack on the upper left side of the headset.
5 USER GUIDE T o Pair the Devices 1. T urn on the mobile phone and place it next to the headset. 2. Initiate the Bluetooth device-pairing (discover y) feature on the mobile phone. Refer to the mobile phone user guide for instructions on initiating this feature.
6 Fitting ezT alker mini On Y our Ear ezT alker mini is designed to fit comfortably in your ear . For added comfort, you can change the ezFit Earpiece. For added stability , you can add the ezEarhook. T o Place the Headset On Y our Ear 1. Place the ezT alker mini speaker in your ear with the microphone angled toward your mouth.
7 USER GUIDE T o Remove the ezEarhook 1. Gently pull the ezEarhook away from the headset stem until it separates from the headset. Powering ezT alker mini T o T urn On the Headset 1. Press and hold the T ALK button until the blue LED flashes or until you hear the On tone (approximately four seconds).
8 T o Make Calls Using Voice Dialing (if supported by your mobile phone) 1. Press the T ALK button on your headset. Y ou will hear two beeps. 2. When prompted by the mobile phone (usually about five seconds), speak the name of the person you wish to call.
9 USER GUIDE T o Answer a Call Waiting Call (if supported by your mobile phone) 1. When you hear two beeps while connected on a call, press and hold the V olume - button until you hear a short beep followed by a long tone (approximately 3 seconds). The original call will be placed on hold and the new call be will be connected.
10 Adjusting the V olume The volume can be adjusted using the volume controls on ezT alker mini or your mobile phone. T o Increase the Volume 1. Press and release the top VOLUME button + . T o Decrease the Volume 1. Press and release the bottom VOLUME button - .
11 USER GUIDE Visual and Audible Indicators T wo LEDs (blue and amber) indicate the status of the headset, while tones heard through the headset provide an audible indication of a requested action. Following are descriptions of visual and audible indicators provided by your ezT alker mini headset.
12 T roubleshooting Issue When you initiate the Bluetooth device pairing feature on your mobile phone, your phone cannot find ezT alker mini. Y our ezT alker mini headset is not communicating with your mobile phone. Y ou are encountering poor reception via the ezT alker mini headset.
13 USER GUIDE T roubleshooting (continued) Issue Even though your headset is turned on, the call is not automatically connected to ezT alker mini when you dial a number on your mobile phone. Y ou hear a crackling noise when connected on a call through the headset.
