12 Tips on freez ing o Freeze r bags, po lythen e wra ps, aluminiu m foil (extra t hick) a nd special cans for froz en foods are suitable packa ging fo r stor ing froz en goods in. o Tape, rubbe r bands o r plastic cl ips are suita ble for s ealing bags and wrappings .
13 Freezing with fa st freeze This func tion shoul d be used w hilst yo u are f reezing fresh fo od, it wi ll ensure that a powe rful supp ly of co ld air enter s the fr eez er compartme nt. o Press the fast fre eze button (2) and the fr eez er w ill star t to ru n contin uously a t its maximum s etting .
14 Saving e nergy when using your freezer Installing: o Install the app lianc e in a co ol po sitio n. If it is p laced i n dire ct sunlight o r next to an o ven or other heat so urce, the e nergy consumption can incre ase substantially. o Ensure the applian ce is instal led wi th t he co rrec t ventila tion requir ements.

16 o The day bef ore you def rost, turn th e ther mostat d ial to po sition <5 >, this will make sure tha t the food c ontaine d in the freezer is frozen prope rly. o Whilst de frosting th e appliance , the fo od should be r emoved fro m the f reezer and wr apped in s everal laye rs of pape r and st ore d in a cool pla ce.
17 Installation IMPORTAN T: Before insta llation an d usage r ead all the instruc tions and ma ke sure that the voltag e (V) and the frequency (Hz) indicat ed on the rating plate are exactly the same as the voltag e and frequency in your home. T he rating plate can b e found on t he front left edg e of the insid e of the fr eezer .
18 Positioning o It is advis able tha t yo ur appli ance is o nly i nstalle d in a lo catio n where the ambien t tempe rature o f the room, c orre sponds with the clima te class ific ation tha t is state d on th e rating p late o f your appliance .
19 Reversing t he door of yo ur applianc e This proc edure MUST be comple ted bef ore the furniture do or is attached. Any parts that yo u remo ve fro m the applia nce w hilst re versin g the doo r, should be retaine d for la ter us e.
20 o Insert the retaining scre ws (1) in to the opposi te side of the appliance from thei r original po sition . The se screws should be partial ly tig htened b ut not fully t ightene d. o Remove the door retaining screw s (2) and t hen reve rse the position of the top and bottom hinge (as sho wn in the d iagram on page 1 8).
21 The diagr am below shows the aperture size that you wil l nee d to be able to i nsta ll your applianc e. o The appliance must be stood on a level floo r. You ca n use the levellin g fee t to tak e into acc ount an y minor unevenn ess in the fl oor.
22 o Use a spann er to a djust the heig ht of the ad justable feet. o If your ape rture has a height of 82 0 mm, then the adju stable feet sho uld be ful ly tighte ned. o If your ape rture has a height of 87 0 mm, then the adju stable feet sho uld be set at a heig ht of 50 mm.
23 If you nee d the appliance door to open fr om the other side, then please rever se the do or befo re commencing the installa tion pr ocess . ( See “Revers ing the door ” section ).
24 o The middle o f the mounti ng bracke t should be po sitione d on the line tha t you ha ve just drawn. P lease note the posit ion o f the mounting bra cket in the above drawing , to ensur e that you have the mount ing brack et the co rrect w ay up.
25 c) Use a screw driver to adj ust the gap o n the lowe r section of t he adjustin g bolts . The gap should be s et to a pproxima tely 9 mm (a s shown in the above dr awing) . d) Fix the low er brac ket to the bo ttom of the furniture door and the undernea th of the a ppliance do or (as shown in the drawing on t he previous page).
26 o Use a sui tably s ize d dril l bit to dr ill t hrough the hole s in the bracke t, into the wo rk to p. IM PORTANT: The drill b it sho uld be approp riate f or the materi al tha t your work top is ma de from. o Secure the bracket to the u nderside of the w orktop, us ing t he sc rews pr ovided.
27 I MPORTAN T: I f your freezer appears not to be operating properly , before cont acting the Custom er Car e Departm ent, please r efer t o the c heckli st belo w. My freez er does not appear to be w orking/there is n o power to my appliance . o Check that the p lug is fu lly ins erted into the pow er so cket.
