12 nitial set-up of your oven I Setting the time of day After your appliance is connected to your mains supply for the first time, you must set the time of day before you can use the oven.

Changing the time of day o IMPORTANT: The oven timer/programmer must not be in any form of countdown mode an d the oven in use symbol (2) must be lit. o Press and hold down the minus (5) and plus (7) buttons simultaneously until the deci mal point starts to flash.
Turn the control knob clockwise. Selecting an oven function and temperature (secondary oven) If you turn the control knob clockwise, it will firstly switch on the oven light. If you continue to turn the knob clockwise, then you can select a temperature of between 50 - 230°C.
Grill thermostat control knob o To set the power level of the grill in the secondary oven, you must turn this control knob clockwise. o Number one is the lowest heat level and number eleven is the highest. o The grill operating light will come on, to show that the grill is in use.
21 o Make sure that frozen foods are thoroughly thawed before cooking, unless the instructions on the food packaging advise that you can “cook from frozen”. o Before cooking, check that any a ccessories that are not required are removed from the oven.
Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning operations must only be carried out when the oven is cool. The appliance should be disconnected from your mains supply before co mmencing any cleaning process. o The oven should be thoroughly cl eaned before it is operated for the first time and after each use.
Removing the side racks To properly clean the oven cavity, it i s n e c e s s a r y t o r e m o v e a l l o f t h e oven furniture, including the side ra cks. To remove the side racks you should do the following:- o Remove the oven shelves, the en amelled baking tray and trivet from the oven cavity.
Replacing the oven bulb IMPORTANT: The oven must be disconnected from your mains supply before you attempt to either remove or replace the oven bulb. o Remove all oven shelves, the enamelled baking tray and the side rack that is on the same side as the oven light.
Removing the oven door for cleaning To facilitate the cleaning of the insi de of the oven and the outer frame of the oven, the door ca n be removed as follows:- o The hinges (A) have two movable bolts on them (B) . o If you raise both of the movable bolts (B) , then the hinges (A) are released from the oven housing.
INSTALLATION The installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified person, in accordance with the current version of the following. o UK Regulations and Safety Stan dards or their European Norm Replacements. o Building Regulations (issued by the Department of the Environment).
Connecting the mains supply cable o The mains terminal block is locate d on the rear of the oven and the terminals are accessible by removing the terminal block cover.
Replacing the mains supply cable If the mains supply cable is damaged, t h e n i t m u s t b e r e p l a c e d w i t h a suitable replacement. The mains supply cable should be re placed in accordance with the following instructions:- o Switch the appliance off at the socket.
Installing the oven into the kitchen cabinet Positioning the appliance o Ensure that the aperture that you will be fitting the oven into is of the size given in the above diagram. o The oven must be fitted into an oven housing with the ventilation cut-outs shown in the “Ventilation requirements” section on page 32.
Installation between two separate cabinet units o Measure a distance of 717 mm fr om the underside of the work top and mark the position of the lower support brackets. o Fix the lower support brackets in th is position to the side of the cabinet units.
Installation between two side panels and one cabinet unit o Measure a distance of 717 mm fr om the underside of the work top and mark the position of the lower support brackets. o Fix the lower support brackets in th is position to the side panels of the cabinet unit.
Ventilation requirements IMPORTANT: The ventilation requirements shown in the above drawing MUST be follo wed; otherwise the oven may not operate correctly.
33 My appliance isn’t working correctly o The oven isn’t coming on. * Check that you have selected a cooking function and a cooking temperature. * Check that the automatic cooking symbol (1) isn’t lit on the LED display. o There appears to be no po wer to the oven and grill.
o I am getting condensation in my oven. * Steam and condensation is a natu ral by product of cooking any food with high water content, su ch as frozen food, chicken etc. * You may get condensation in the oven cavity and forming between the oven door glasses.
