11 Using your oven Before first use o To remove any residue from the oven cavities that may have been left from the manufacturing process, you should select the conventional or fan oven function and set the thermostat to its maximum temperature setting.

13 o Press and hold down the programme button (6) for a couple of seconds. The automatic cooking symbol will go out and the digits will remain steady. o When the oven in use symbol (2) appears, use the plus (7) and minus (5) buttons to set the correct time of day.
14 The semi-automatic cooking function (main oven only) This function will allow you to se t a countdown time similar to the minute minder function, however the oven will switch off at the end of the cooking time. o Place the food that you want to cook inside of the oven and close the door.
15 The end of cooking func tion (main oven only) This function is similar to the semi-automatic function, however instead of setting a countdown time, you select the ti me of day that you want the oven to switch off at. o Place the food that you want to cook inside of the oven and close the door.
16 The automatic cooking func tion (main oven only) This function will allow you to set the time of day that you want the oven to switch off at and how long you want the oven to cook for. o Place the food that you want to cook inside of the oven and close the door.
17 o To reset the oven and cancel the audible alarm, press the programme button until the oven in use symbol appears on the LED display and the automatic cooking symbol goes out. o IMPORTANT: If you have not turned the oven function selector knob and thermostat control knob to their OFF positions, when you reset the oven it will continue to heat.
o Use the minus button to select th e volume level that you desire. Press the programme button to confirm. Changing the time of day o IMPORTANT: The oven timer/programmer must not be in any form of countdown mode an d the oven in use symbol (2) must be lit.
CONVENTIONAL OVEN (top and lower element): This method of cooking provides tr aditional cooking, with heat from the top and lower elements. This function is suitable for roasting and baking on one shelf only.
Oven operating lights (main and top oven) This light will come on to indicate that the oven’s heating elements are in operation. The light will switch off when the temperature set has been reached. It will cycle on and off througho ut the cooking time.
21 Cooking guidelines o Please refer to the information given on food packaging for guidance on cooking temperatures and times. Once familiar with the performance of your appliance, temperatures an d times can be varied to suit personal preference.
o During cooking, never place pans or cookware directly onto the b o t t o m o f y o u r o v e n . T h e y s h o u l d a l w a y s b e p l a c e d o n t h e s h e l v e s provided.
o You should make sure that the cook ing temperature that is selected is appropriate for the food that you are cooking. You should also e n s u r e t h a t t h e f o o d i s p l a c e d i n a n a d e q u a t e l y s i z e d d i s h a n d u s e the enamelled baking tray where appropriate.
Replacing the oven bu lbs (both ovens) IMPORTANT: The oven must be disconnected from your mains supply before you attempt to either remove or replace the oven b u l b s . E n s u r e t h a t t h e oven is cool before touchi ng the interior surfaces. o Remove all oven shelves, the enamelled baking tray and the side racks.
Removing the oven d oors for cleaning To facilitate the cleaning of the insi de of the oven and the outer frame of the oven, the door ca n be removed as follows:- o The hinges have two movable bolts on them. o If you raise both of the movable bolts, then the hinges are released from the oven housing.
INSTALLATION The installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified person, in acco rdance with the current version of the following. o UK Regulations and Safety St andards or their European Norm Replacements. o Building Regulations (issued by the Department of the Environment).
Connecting the mains supply cable o The mains terminal block is locate d on the rear of the oven and the terminals are accessible by removing the terminal block cover.
o The cable can be looped if necessary, but make sure that is not kinked or trapped when the oven is in position. Care must be taken to avoid the cable being in contact with hot parts of the appliance. Replacing the mains supply cable If the mains supply cable is damaged, t h e n i t m u s t b e r e p l a c e d w i t h a suitable replacement.
Built-under installation Positioning the appliance o Do not install your oven too close to a fridge or boiler. o Ensure that the aperture that you will be fitting the oven into is of the size given in the above diagram. o The oven must be fitted into the aperture using the support guides supplied.
Ventilation requirements o Ensure that the aperture that you will be fitting the oven into is of the size given in the diagram. This will provide a gap at the back of the oven to allow air to circulate as shown in the drawing on the previous page.
31 o My food is not cooking properly. * Ensure that you are selecting the correct temperature and the correct cooking function for the food that you are cooking. It may be appropriate to adjust yo ur cooking temperature by plus or minus 10°C, to achieve the best cooking results.
