3 Thank you for pur chasing a T aylor ® W ir eless Thermometer with Remote P ager plus Timer This product helps to eliminate o ver -cooking or under -cooking foods. Presetting the thermometer to the r ecommended cooking temperatures and/or cooking times is simple and ensur es that food will be cook ed to your pref erred taste.
On/Of f Oper ation 1. Place the base unit as close as possible to the remote sensor . This will ensure easy synchr onization between the base and r emote . After set up is complete, k eep the units within effective transmis- sion range (within 200 feet).
7. Auto off featur e to conser ve battery power: The base unit will au- tomatically turn off after 30 minutes if ther e is no change in tem- perature or no buttons ar e pressed. The r emote unit will vibrate then automatically turn off if the transmission signal is lost for 5 minutes.
3. Press the “Meat” but- ton to scroll thr ough the meat choices. Press the “Select” button to select the displa yed meat type. The default taste setting “Medium” flashes. 4. Press the “T aste” but- ton to scroll thr ough the taste choices.
General Cooking Pr ocedur es 1. Preheat the grill or o ven to desired cooking temperatur e. Place the food in the ov en or grill. 2. Sterilize the metal probe b y inser ting it into an appr opriate solution such as boiling water for sev eral minutes. Mak e sure the sensor plug on the end of the cord is plugged into the thermometer base unit.
• When the curr ent temperature is within 10 degrees of the target temperature, the remote will beep 5 times, vibrate and flash. The base will beep 5 times and flash. • When the curr ent temperature and target temperature ar e equal (indicating the food is done), the units consistently beep , vibrate and flash (base will not vibrate).
Timer Operation This unit is also equipped with a conv enient timer . It can operate as an independent timer or work along with the thermometer function. 1. If necessar y , turn the base and remote on (see on/off operation). 2. Press the “Timer/Thermometer” button.
6. As time progr esses, the base and remote units will signal timer alerts in the following manner : • 10 minutes befor e the time is up, the r emote will beep 3 times, vibrate and flash. The base will beep 3 times and flash. Note: that the unit uses to differ ent beep tones to help you iden- tify between thermometer and timer notifications.
7. Press the “Start/Stop” button on the base unit to stop the alarm and timer . 8. The timer will time up to 39 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. (The seconds will appear when r emaining time is less than one minute). Clock F eature T o program the clock: 1.

T ransmission Collision Signals f rom oth er household d evices, such as d oorbells, home sec urity systems and entry controls, may interfer e. This is normal and does not affect the general performance of thi s product. The transmission will resume once the interf erence r ecedes.
