1 Introduction Introduction Thank you f or purchasing the Ubiquiti UniF i Enterprise WiF i System. The UniF i Enterprise WiF i S ystem includes the UniF i Controller software that allows y ou to manage your wireless network using your W eb br owser . This Quick Start Guide is for use with the UniFi AP-P ro.

5 Network T opology Requirements Hardware Installation The UniF i AP-Pro can be mounted to the wall or ceiling . Perform the steps for the appropriat e installation: W all M ount 1. Position the Mounting Br acket at the desired location on the wall with the cable feed slot pointed t owards the floor .
6 UniFi ™ AP Pro 5. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Main Ethernet P ort on the UniFi AP-P ro. 6. Align the notch on the UniF i AP-Pro with the notch on the Mounting Brack et.
7 Network T opology Requirements 7. T urn the UniFi AP-P ro clockwise until it locks into place. Ceiling Mount 1. Remove the ceiling tile . 2. Place the Mounting Brack et in the center of the ceiling tile. Mark the three mounting screw holes and 25 mm hole for the Ethernet cable.
8 UniFi ™ AP Pro 3. Use a 3 mm drill bit to drill the screw holes and cut or drill the 25 mm hole for the Ethernet cable f eed. 4. Secure the Mounting Brack et to the ceiling tile using the Ceiling Backing Plate , M3x50 Flathead Screws and M3 Keps Nuts with T ooth W ashers.
9 Network T opology Requirements 6. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Main Ethernet P ort . 7. Align the notch on the UniF i AP-Pro with the notch on the Mounting Brack et.
10 UniFi ™ AP Pro P owering the UniF i AP-Pr o The UniF i AP Pro can be powered directly by an 802.af compliant switch or with the included PoE GigE A dapter . Connect to an 802.3af Compliant S witch Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable coming from the Main Ethernet Port of the UniFi AP-P ro directly to a PoE port on an 802.
11 Po wering the UniF i AP-Pro 2. Connect an Ethernet cable from your LAN to the E thernet port labeled LAN on the PoE GigE Adapter . 3. Connect the power cord t o the power por t on the P oE GigE Adapter . Connect the other end to of the power cord to a power outlet.
12 UniFi ™ AP Pro Software Installation Insert the UniFi Controller software CD into y our CD-ROM drive and follow the instructions for y our specific computer type. Mac Users 1. Click the Install icon. 2. Click Con tinue and follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

14 UniFi ™ AP Pro 4. Click Nex t . 5. Ensure that the Start UniFi Controller after installation option is checked and click Finish . Note: The UniF i Controller software can also be launched from Start > All Programs .
15 Software Installation Configuring the UniF i Controller Software 1. The UniF i Controller software star tup will begin. Click Launch a Browser t o Manage Wireless Netw ork . 2. Select your language and country. Click Next . Note: U.S. product versions are locked to the U.
16 UniFi ™ AP Pro 4. The UniF i Installation Wizard will create a secure primar y wireless network for y our devices. Perform the following steps: a. Enter the wireless network name (SSID) in the Secure SSID field. b. Enter a passphrase to be used f or your primar y network.
17 Software Installation 6. Review your settings. Click Back to make changes or F inish to save y our settings. Once finished you will be redirected to the management interface via your web browser . Congratulations , your wireless network is now configured .
