Getting Started 1 - 5 Charging the Battery Charging the Main Battery and Memory Backup Battery Before using the mobile comp uter for the first time, char ge the main battery until the amber charg e ind icator light remains lit (see T able 1-2 on page 1-6 for charge status indicatio ns).
1 - 6 MC9090-G RFID User Guide Suppliment T o charge the main battery: 1. Ensure the accessory used to charge the ma in ba ttery is connected to th e appropriate power sour ce. 2. Insert the mobile comp uter into a cr adle or attach th e appropri ate snap-o n module.
Getting Started 1 - 7 Removing the Main Battery T o remove the main batt ery: 1. Prior to removing the batter y , press the red Power button. This sets the mo bile comput er to suspe nd mode. 2. Press the primary battery release(s) . The battery p artially eject s from the mobile computer .
1 - 8 MC9090-G RFID User Guide Suppliment Starting the Mobile Computer Press the red Power button to turn on the mobile computer . If the mobile computer does n ot power on, perform a cold boot. See Resetting the Mobile Computer on page 2-18 . When the mobile computer is powered on for the firs t time, it initializes its system.
