User's Manual 16 CHAPTER 2 Digital Audio and Component V ideo Connections (DVD) If your DVD and TV Monitor both have com po nent video, they can be connected as shown, giving a superior picture. The digital output from the DVD player must be con nect ed to the digital inputs of the TGR-401.

The supplied loop an ten na has been carefully matched to the AM tuner . Larger Loop anten- nas may improve reception, provided that their inductive value is around 18 uH.
User's Manual 18 CHAPTER 2 T ape Player Connections The tape player ’s output can be connected to the analog audio inputs. The tape player can record the ana- log audio from the selected source. If you are playing a digital source, the tape player will receive a downmixed stereo analog signal for recording.

There are ten device buttons, ve on either side of the display , and each allows the remote to operate one piece of equip- ment.
User's Manual 26 CHAPTER 3 1. Press the remote's MAIN button to make sure the display is on the main display menu. 2. Press the TG401 device button to set the remote to operate your TGR- 401. The display chang es to show the TGR-401 input se lec tions.

There is only one way to enter the SETUP mode: Hold down both the MAIN and ENT buttons for a few seconds until SETUP appears in the display .
