8 I NSTALLATIONS 2.1 System Installation 2.1.1 CPU Installation Carefully follow the st eps below in order to install the CPU: 1. Check and confirm that you are goi ng to install correctly CPU type and pin numbers (figure 3). 2. Lift the releasing lever of th e Socket 370.

29 A WARD BIOS S ETUP 3.1 BIOS Instructions Award’s ROM BIOS provides a b uilt-in Se tup progra m, whi ch allo ws user to modify the basic system configur ation and hardwa re parameters. The modified data will be stored in a batte ry-backed CMOS, so that data will be retained even when the power is turned off.
