18 ANTI-TIP BLOCKING KIT T o prevent the unit from tipping forward and to provide a stable installation, the unit must be secured in place with an anti-tip blocking kit. If there is a solid soffit above the unit with clear- ance between the unit and the soffit of 25 mm or less, you won‘t need to block the unit.

54 DOOR P ANELS Unless you are installing a stainless steel model, you will need to pr ovide a frame for the glass door . If you order a stainless steel unit, Models I424, I424FS and I430 will be shipped with their panels and hardware installed and y ou will merely install the Sub-Zero.
55 OVERLA Y PANELS – MODEL I424 The overlay panel a pplied to Model I424 should not be confused with the Built-In overlay panel application. The overla y panel will consist of only a frame and would be either the 16 mm or 19 mm thick panel you ma y be using.
56 IMPORT ANT NOTE: The glass door opening of the standard Models I427 and I427R is designed to be exposed to room air circulation. Decor ative overlays on the glass should be k ept to a minimum. While the cabinet front stiles are a minimum of 57 mm for both Models I427 and I427R, the top and bottom rails are different.
57 IMPORT ANT NOTE: The dimensions of these panels and stiles are assuming the models finish off at 2032 mm in height overall and have a 102 mm toe kick for the Model I427. If you finish off at 2134 mm, for instance, y ou must add 102 mm additional to the overall height of the panel and remember to add 102 mm to the top rail.
58 T o achieve the overlay look, y ou need three different panels — the decorative overlay panel, a 3 mm spacer panel and a 6 mm backer panel. Depending on your ca binet manufacturer , this could be one panel routed for different dimen- sions or more likely , three different panels.
59 The back sides of rails and stiles that will be visible through the glass door will need to be finished. Also, the inside edges of the frames must be finished to match the front surface. As with the Sub-Zero Built-In models, y ou have the flexibility of ordering grilles in a variety of heights for the overlay a pplication.
HARDW ARE CONSIDERA TIONS With Model I424 (overlay), Models I427 and I427R (integrated) and Model I430 (overla y), you must supply your own handle hardw are. It is recommended you use our optional handles and use the pre-drilled holes supplied to locate the handles within the frame of our unit.
