3 V ARIO TM Man ual INTRODUC TION Burrs The V ARIO uses at ceramic burrs, which are great for all styles of coffee. Ceramic burrs are har der than steel and last (on average) about twice as l ong as steel burrs. PortaHolder The V ARIO comes with a Por taHolder that can easily be adjusted to t any por talter .

V ARIO TM Man ual 8 ► Do not lea ve your grin der unattended while turned ON. ► Shut off and unplug th e grinder from the electrical outlet when n ot in use and befor e cleaning. ► T o unplug, grasp plug and r emove from the outlet. Ne ver pull on the cord.
9 V ARIO TM Man ual OPERA TION Place the V ARIO grinder on a lev el surface. With the hopper lid in place, m ount the hopper on th e grinder housin g by lining up th e two small tabs at the base of the hopper with th e two slots inside th e collar on th e top of the grin der .
V ARIO TM Man ual 10 The full range on the Micro scale is equal to one “ click” or position change on the Macr o scale. Adjusting lev ers UP produces a smaller par ticle size, adjusting levers DOWN pr oduces a larger par ticle size. Time Based Grin ding Operation Place the PortaHolder or th e ground coff ee bin in the grin der .
