ASSEMBL Y 1. Use enough hose sections to reach the farthest point in the pool, plus one (1) section. 2. Attach both hose weights 1.5 metres from the female end of the hose. The female end is the end that will e ventually be attached to the G3 head. (Do not attach no w) Skimmer G3 Head (Do not attach now) Female End Hose Weights 1.
FLOWKEEPER™ VAL VE FOR POOLS WITH A SINGLE SKIMMER ONL Y The pool pump provides more gallon per minute flo w than your G3 requires. That's why we pro vide a way to regulate the flo w . The Flowk eeper V alve is self adjusting and pro vides a by-pass, so that the pool pump and the G3 run properly .
7 IMPORT ANT Y our hose is now free of air . Please ensure that the hose ends are k ept under water while performing the following steps. This will prevent air from entering your system. 1. Begin by remo ving your v acuum plate (if you hav e one) and skimmer basket from the skimmer .
8 IMPORT ANT Please ensure that both hose weights are 1 .5 metres from the cleaner head for optimum performance. 5. Mov e to the skimmer and attach the assembly into the suction port. Ensure arro w on flo wkeeper v alve is pointing do wnward. 6. Submerge the G3 pool cleaner head.
9 1. Begin by remo ving your v acuum plate (if you hav e one) and skimmer basket from the deep end skimmer . 2. Slide the hose protector net on the male end of the hose. 3. Fill the hose with water by placing the end ov er a return jet inlet. IMPORT ANT Y our hose is now free of air .
10 4. Attach the male end of the hose to the uni versal v alve cuf f. 5. Mov e to the deep end skimmer and insert the cuf fed hose into the suction port.
8. Remo v e the pool pulse. Submerge the G3 pool cleaner head. When b ubbles stop coming from the extension pipe, attach the cleaner head to the female end of the hose. IMPORT ANT Please ensure that both hose weights are 1.5 metres from the cleaner head for optimum performance.
1. Fill the hose with water by placing the end ov er a return jet inlet. 2. Insert the male end of the hose into the large end of the 45˚ elbo w . Then insert the small end of the 45˚ elbow into the uni v ersal v alve cuf f. 3. Insert the uni versal v alve cuf f into the wall v acuum fitting.
4. Attach the pool pulse to the other end of the hose. 5. At your pump, open the wall v acuum line valv e fully and slo wly close the skimmer valv e until the indicator of the pool pulse falls into the ideal range (when vie wed from the side).
14 CARE AND MAINTENANCE Sunlight (ultra violet rays), water and swimming pool chemicals create a harsh en vironment. T o increase the lifespan of the G3 and hose, you should: 1. Remove the G3 fr om the pool bef ore super chlorinating and r einstall it a minimum of four hours later .
15 CARE AND MAINTENANCE Quick Access Cassette System Large foreign objects, such as children’ s toys, tree branches and rocks, should be remo ved manually from your pool prior to operating an automatic pool cleaner .
16 ADJUSTMENTS COVERA GE Normally it is undesirable for the return line water flo w to af fect the natural movement of the G3 hose. Ho wev er , the following illustrations sho w ho w return line pressure can by used to balance cleaning cov erage or to guide the cleaner away from step areas with "V" shaped corners.
17 TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM SOLUTION 1. Machine does not mov e, or moves slo wly . • Confirm that the main drain is closed. • Ensure ideal flo w is being attained using Pool Pulse ™ . Note: In water 60 ˚ F or less, it may be necessary to increase flo w to compensate for the reduced flexibility of the hose and diaphragm.
