5 Getting started Getting started Assembly Before you start usi ng your phone, you need to inser t a SIM card and the battery. To insert the SIM card and battery 1 Slide and hold the clasp sideways and remove the battery co ver. 2 Slide the SIM card into its holder with the contacts facing down.

25 Calling Voice control By creating voi ce commands you can: • Voice dial – call someone by saying their name. • Activate voic e control by saying a“ m a g i c w o r d ” .
26 Calling To activate and record the magic word 1 From standby select Menu > Settings >t h e General tab > Voice control > Magic word > Activate . 2 Follow the instructio ns on the screen and select Continue . Wait for the tone and say the magic word.
27 Calling Divert call options Standard options are: • Divert always – divert all your calls • When busy – if a ca ll is ongoing • Not reachable – if turned off or unreachable • No reply – if not answered in a specified ti me. To divert calls 1 From standby select Menu > Settings >t h e Calls tab > Divert calls .
28 Calling To join two calls • During the call , select More > Join calls . To connect two calls • During the call , select More > Transfer call . You are disconnected from both calls. To end an ongoing call and return to the call on hold • Select End call > Yes .
29 Calling To check your phone numbers 1 From standby select Menu > Contacts > Options > Special numbers > My numbers . 2 Select an option.

31 Messaging Messaging Text messages Text messages can conta in simple pictures, sound ef fects, animati ons, and melodies. Before you use messaging You must have a service centre number. The number is supplied by your service pr ovider and is usually saved on the SIM card.
32 Messaging To view a text message from the inbox 1 From standby select Menu > Messaging > Inbox . 2 Scroll to the me ssage and select View . To close a text message • Press . To call a number in a text message • When you vi ew the messag e, scroll to the phone number and select Call .
33 Messaging To set the message server address 1 From standby select Menu > Messaging > Settings > Picture message > MMS profile . 2 Scroll to a prof ile and select More > Edit > Message server . 3 Select Edit and enter the address. 34 Messaging Message options You can set stan dard options for al l messages or choose s pecific setti ngs each time you send a me ssage. To set text message options 1 From standby select Menu > Messaging > Settings > Text message . 2 Scroll to an option and select Edit .

36 Messaging An email provider could be the company that supplied your email address, for example, your IT administrator at work or an Internet provider. You may find settings information in your computer emai l program settings, or in a document from your email pr ovider.
