2 This “Comput er Ap plication Guid e” describes the basic oper ations for c onnecting the camc order to a co mputer by using the software on the supplied CD-ROM. The CD- R OM includes “ImageMix er for HDD Camcord er” software. For more details about the softwar e functions, re fer to t he help in t he supplied software.
3 Use a s pecial cau tion f or preven ting damages and malf uncti ons of th e camcor der • When connecting your camcorder with the USB cable or other cable, make sure you insert the connector i n the correct direction. Do not insert the connector f orcibly as it may damage the cable or your camcorder .

6 Y o u nee d to ins tall th e soft ware to your W indows computer . The installa tion is only require d once. 1 Confirm that your camcorder is not connected to th e computer . 2 T urn on the com puter . • Log on as Administr ators for ins tallation.
7 7 Read [License Agreement], check [I accept the terms of the license agreement] when yo u agree, then click [Nex t]. 8 Select where to save the software , then click [Ne xt]. 9 If you r camcorder’ s model name is the DCR-SR1 00, select “NTSC”.
8 3 Clic k [Fi nish]. 12 Make sure [Y es, I want to restart my computer no w.] is chec ked, then c lic k [Finish] . The comp uter tur ns of f once , then st arts up again au tomati cally (Res tart).
9 Y ou can sa ve images with ea se by pressing the DVD BUR N button on your cam corder (On e T ouch DVD Burn functi on) without any compl ex operation s of your compu ter . • Images that have not been s av ed to a DVD with One T ouch DVD Burn can automatically be saved.
10 • If you cannot copy all you r image data on a D VD, the image da ta is aut omatically saved on mor e than one DVD. The required number of DVDs is displayed in step 6 on the s creen. 1 Confirm that the camcorder is not connected to a c omputer . 2 T urn on the com puter .

13 3 Connect your camcorder to the wall ou tlet us ing the su pplied A C Adaptor , then turn on. • Y ou can perform this operation, whichever position of the (Movie) / ( Still) / (PLA Y/EDIT ) is lit. • For operating the POWER switch, s ee “Camera Operating Gui de”.

17 Stil l image Y o u can print and expand images using the buttons a t the to p of th e scree n. • For data compatible with Exif, click (Exif) to display the recording conditions such as shutter speed, exposure, aperture, etc. Click (Print) in step 5.

19 8 Check [Cut the specified range]. 9 Search the scene you want to delete b y cli ckin g or . 10 Drag and drop the fir st frame of the scene you want to delete to [Star t]. 11 Display the last frame of the scene to d elete on the center frame by clic king or , t hen drag and drop the frame to [END].

DVD creati on starts up. • When you insert a b urned D VD-R W/ DVD+R W in the disc driv e in step 3, a message appears, asking if you want to delete images saved on a DVD.
24 Due to limitat ion of the hard di sk space of the comp uter , it is reco mmended that you delete the im age data on t he har d dis k once you s a v e it to a D VD or othe r med ia. • Before you delete images from your computer , check that the images saved on the D VD or other media can be played back properly .
25 Refer a lso t o “Came ra Op erati ng Guid e”. The computer do es not recognize your camcorder . • Install the suppli ed softw are “I m ageMix er for HDD Camcorder” (p.6). • Remove t he cabl e from the co mputer a n d camcorder , then c onnec t it a gain firml y .
