AXIS P5544 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a A ccessin g the P r oduct Access from the Internet Once connected, the Axis product is accessible on your local net work (LAN). To access the product from the Internet you must con fi gure your network router to allow incoming data traf fi c to the product.

AXIS P5544 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a A ccessin g the P r oduct Normal Mode In Normal mode, the camera is looking through the dome cover av oiding the P anopsis lens. T he Live View page shows the camera view and an Overvi ew snapshot . Click in the Overview snapshot to quickly steer the camera view to a new position.

AXIS P5544 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a A ccessin g the P r oduct Microphone on and Microphone off . Click to mute or unmute the microphone. In Simplex — speaker only mode , the Microphone on and Talk buttons must both be active to send audio to the Axis product.
AXIS P5544 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Media Str eams Media Streams The Axis product provides several audio and video stream form ats. Your requirements and the properties of your network will determine the type you use. The Live View page in the product provides access to H.

AXIS P5544 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Settin g Up the P r oduct Setting Up the Product The Axis product can be co n fi gured by users with admini strator or operator r ights. To open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.

If the foc us position is changed manually using the focus bar, autofocus will be di sabled even if enabled h ere. In this case, use the P TZ control panel to enable autofocus, se e .

The audio clip must fi rst be uploaded to the Axis product or recorded by a microphone connected to the product. To add, download, modify or remove audio clips, go to Video & Audio > Audio Clips .

Guard Tour A guard tour displa ys the video stream from different preset posi tions, one- by-one , in a pre determi ned order or at random a nd for con fi gurable time periods.
AXIS P5544 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a PTZ (P an Tilt Zoom) When using a joystick (or emulating one with the mouse) the Enable proportional speed setting can be used to reduce the maximum pan/tilt movement speed, i.e. the speed the ca mera view moves at w hen the joystick is pushed al l the way out in any direction.
AXIS P5544 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Detector s Detectors Motion Detection Motion detection is used to generate an alarm whenever movement starts or stops in the camera’s fi el d of view. The alarm is generated when the camera is in Overview Mode , that is, when using the Panopsis lens.

AXIS P5544 PTZ Dome Netw ork Camer a Ev e n t s Events The Axis product can be con fi gured to perform actions w hen different events occur, for example , start a recording wh en motion is detected. The set of conditions that de fi nes how and when the action is triggered is called an Action Rule .
