UNIVERSAL REMO TE CONTROL KH2150 Safety Proper use Children may only operate the remote contr ol under adult super vision. The universal remote contr ol can replace a maximum of ten remote controls. It can only be used for entertainment electronics with infrared receiv ers.
Damage to the device • If the device is defective, do not attempt to repair it y ourself. In case of damage, contact the manufacturer or his ser vice hotline (see W arranty section). • If liquid escapes from the device or if the device has been other wise damaged, it must be inspected by the manu- facturer or his service hotline.
First use Unpacking the device / checking the pack age contents Attention! K eep the plastic packaging well away fr om small children. There is a risk of suffocation.
Note: If the L CD display (2) remains dark, check the polarity of the batteries or insert new batteries. The L CD display (2) is explained in the section L CD display . Operating elements LCD display The L CD display (2) is divided into fields. T ext field (21) The text field has two lines.
AM/PM symbol (26) If the time is set to 12-hour format, a PM symbol is displayed in the af ternoon between 12:00 and 24:00. (See section SY STEM-SETUP – System settings). Number field (27) The display field for time and date information as well as the device code.
CD player (Compact Disk) Amplifier Auxiliar y 2 S button (5) Load SETUP menu or activate SHIFT function. Arrow buttons (6) Mov e up, right, lef t and down in menus. OK button (7) Y ou can confirm a menu selection with the OK button. EXIT button (8) # Leave menu.
Video text buttons (12) Switch on video text. Stop automatic paging for war d for multi-page video texts. Display information on the selected device. Show video te xt and television programme at the same time. Switch of f video te xt. Number buttons (13) Enter programme and de vice code numbers.
10 CH button (17) Change the television channel. MENU button (18) Open the menu. EPG button (19) Depending on the selected device, the EPG button activates the following functions: T V/SA T Access the electronic television pr ogramme gu ide. DVD : Access the title menu.
SY S TEM-SETUP o ver view V OL/MUTE SETUP All devices use their own v olume control, if available. If a video device, such as a V CR or DVD player , does not hav e its own v olume control, the volume control of the television device is automatically used ("punch-through function").
V OL/MUTE SET Set the volume control for each individual de vice. 1. Hold the S button (5) pressed until CODE-SETUP appears in the L CD display (2). 2. Press the down arro w button (6). SYSTEM-SETUP appears in the L CD display (2). 3. Press the right arrow button (6).
4. Press the down arro w button (6) repeatedly until TIME- SETUP appears in the L CD display (2). 5. Press the right ar ro w button (6). TIME? 24HR 12:00 appears in the L CD display (2). The message 24HR blinks. Note: Press the up or down arr ow button for (6) 12-hour display .
Note: If no button is pressed for appro x. 30 seconds, the message TIMEOUT appears in the L CD display (2). Then the standard display is shown automatically . BA CKLIGHT SETUP Set the backlight time for the LCD display (2). The backlight time can be changed in five second steps.
2. Press the down arro w button (6). SYSTEM-SETUP appears in the L CD display (2). 3. Press the right arrow button (6). V OL/MUTE SETUP appears in the L CD display (2). 4. Press the down arro w button (6) repeatedly until SYSTEM- RESET appears in the L CD display (2).
CODE-SETUP ov er view 7. Confirm t he selection with the OK button (7). First PLEASE W AIT ... then t he first entr y of the manufacturer list, such as ADMIRAL 0000 , appears in the L CD display (2). 8. Press the up or down arro w button (6). The next manu- facturer with device code appears in the L CD display (2).
ENTER CODES With the ENTER CODES function, you locate the device code in the enclosed manual “Manufacturer List with Device Code List“. Note: T o conclude your input, press the EXIT button (8). 1. Switch on the device for which you w ould like to progr am the remote control.
Note: For a television, press the de vice button T V (4), then continue with step 8. 7. Press the up or down arro w button (6). The next device appears in the L CD display (2). 8. Confirm t he selection with the OK button (7). SEARCH KEY? appears in the L CD display (2).

TIMER SETUP – Timer functions Program the automatic switch-off function SLEEPTIMER and the automatic switch-on function "TIMER". See the graphic "TIMER-SETUP ov er view“. T V SLEEP SETUP The SLEEPTIMER function automatically switches of f the tele- vision af ter the configured time has elapsed.
Note: Select a value betw een 1 and 90 minutes. 7. Press the up or down arro w button (6) to set the minutes. 8. Press the right arrow button (6). SUCCESS and the Zzz symbol (25) appear in the L CD display (2). 9. Point the remote contr ol at t he television.
TIMER X SET Programming TIMER X . The "X“ is a placeholder and stands for 1, 2, 3 or 4. All settings are described using TIMER 1 as an ex ample. 1. Hold the S button (5) pressed until CODE-SETUP appears in the L CD display (2). 2. Press the down arro w button (6) repeatedly until TIMER- SETUP appears in the L CD display (2).
5. Press the down arro w button (6) repeatedly until the desired TIMER appears in the L CD display (2). 6. Press the right arrow button (6). CONFIRM CLEAR appears in the L CD display (2). 7. Press the right arrow button (6). First SUCCESS then CODE SETUP appears in the L CD display (2).
LEARN SETUP ov er view MODE LEARN Note: Execute "ALL LEARN CLEAR“ befor e executing "MODE LEARN“ for the first time. See section "ALL LEARN CLEAR“. Learning the button signals of an original remote control. 1. Hold the S button (5) pressed until CODE-SETUP appears in the L CD display (2).
Note: If "LEARN ERROR“ appears in the L CD display (2), repeat the learning function process starting from step 5. 7. Hold the button on the or iginal remote contr ol pressed until first SUCCESS then LEARN MORE? appears in t he L CD display (2).
MA CR O-SETUP – Macro functions With the macro function, you can sav e a sequence of button presses. The saved macr o can be loaded with t he MACRO button (11) and the number buttons (13) 1 , 2 or 3 . The saved button sequence is ex ecuted automatically .
Note: After the tenth button press, the macro is automatically saved. T o save the macro at an earlier point, press the button MACRO (11). 7. Press the desired button sequence. With each button press, the counter goes up by one: MA CRO1 KEY? 03 , MA CRO 1 KEY? 04 etc.
Maintenance and Cleaning Batter y maintenance Memor y function The device codes and learned buttons are r etained dur ing a batter y change. The following ar e immediately deleted: Time information and the lighting time for t he backlight of the L CD display (2).
