Reference Desi gn Board Architecture The Silicon Labs Class D reference de sign architecture uses a phase-shif t, self-oscillating mo dulation approach that is capabl e of achieving far greater signal-to-no ise ra tio than clock driven amplifiers (see Figure 2).
